Aybastı is a town and district of Ordu Province in the Black Sea Region, Black Sea region of Turkey. According to the 2000 census, population of the district is 31,071 of which 14,326 live in the town of Aybastı. The district covers an area of , and the town lies at an elevation of . Etymology The town was formerly known as ''Ibasdi'' (variants include ''Ibasda'' and ''Ibassa'', Ίβασσα in ancient Greek) and mutated to Aybastı in the 20th century. Geography Aybastı is a rural, agricultural district in the foothills of the Canik Mountains above the Black Sea coast, 54 km inland from the coastal town of Fatsa. Orduspor was a Turkish football club founded in 1967. The club was located in Ordu, Turkey and played their home games at 19 Eylül Stadium. The team managed to qualify for the Turkish Super League again in 2011. But, the last spell in top level finished in 2013. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation.
