Yasamal Cemetery
The Yasamal cemetery ( az, Yasamal qəbiristanlığı), also known as the Wolf's Gate cemetery ( az, Qurd Qapısı qəbiristanlığı) is a multi-confessional citywide cemetery located in the Yasamal District of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. History The cemetery is the oldest of the existing and the largest in terms of area cemetery in Baku. The Yasamal cemetery was created in 1940, and consists of three sections—Muslim, Jewish and Christian. Yasamal Raion
Yasamal is a settlement and raion in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a population of 245,900. One of the central districts of Baku, Yasamal district, was established in 1932 as the administrative unit of the district, from the south to Sabail (3 km), west from Garadagh (3.2 km), north from Binagadi (2.8 km) and Nasimi (5 km) borders with regions. The territory of the district is 16.22 km2. Through the district, from the "Kurt Gate" and Badamdar settlement to the south bypassing Baku-Gazakh and Baku-Astara and west of New Yasamal to Baku via Baku-Gazakh, Baku-Astara and Baku-Yalama, and from Bilajari, there are exits to Gazakh and Baku-Yalama highways. 11 internally displaced persons live in the region. Rubaba Muradova
Rubaba Khalil qizi Muradova ( az, Rübabə Muradova), born Rubaba Ishragi (21 March 1930 – 28 August 1983), was an Iranian and Azerbaijani opera ( mezzo-soprano) and folk singer. She graduated from the Zeynalli College of Music in Baku and worked at the Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theatre, where she started in 1954. In 1971, Rubaba Muradova became the People's Artist of Azerbaijan. Early life Rubaba Muradova was born to a family of a cleric in the Iranian city of Ardabil. In 1943, she moved to then Soviet Azerbaijan, and settled in the city of Ali Bayramli. Since age 17, she acted in various roles at the local theaters. Ogtay Dzhafarovich Aghayev ( az, Oqtay Ağayev, russian: Октай Джафарович Агаев; November 7, 1934 – November 13, 2006) was a Soviet, Azerbaijani variety singer and People's Artist of Azerbaijan.
