Yao Kao-chiao
Yao Kao-chiao (; born c. 1940) is a Taiwanese politician and former police officer. Yao was the youngest of five sons, born in the village of Gongyi in Zhunan, Miaoli County. He later moved to Taipei. Yao studied law at what became Central Police University and later completed a master's degree in the subject from Meiji University. He served five years as leader of the Kaohsiung City Police Department and four years with the Taipei County Police Department. Between 1995 and 1996, Yao was president of Central Police University. Within the National Police Agency, Yao was deputy director-general prior to his appointment as director-general from his post at Central Police University. Han Kuo-yu
Daniel Han Kuo-yu (; born 17 June 1957) is a Taiwanese politician. He was a member of the Legislative Yuan from 1993 to 2002, representing a portion of Taipei County for three terms. He later became general manager of Taipei Agricultural Products Marketing Corporation. In 2017, Han contested the Kuomintang chairmanship, losing to Wu Den-yih. Han was elected Mayor of Kaohsiung in November 2018, and became the first Kuomintang politician since Wu in 1998 to hold the office. He was the KMT candidate for the 2020 Taiwanese presidential election, but lost to Tsai Ing-wen. On 6 June 2020, Han was successfully recalled from his position as mayor and officially stepped down on 12 June. Hou Yu-ih (; born 7 June 1957), also romanized Hou You-yi, is a Taiwanese politician. He has served as Director-General of the National Police Agency from 2006 to 2008 and as acting mayor of New Taipei City from October 2015 to January 2016. He has been the incumbent mayor of New Taipei since 25 December 2018. Law enforcement career Upon his graduation from the Central Police University, Hou was sent to the Taipei City Police Department. Democratic Progressive Party
The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is a Taiwanese nationalist and centre-left political party in the Republic of China (Taiwan). Controlling both the Republic of China presidency and the unicameral Legislative Yuan, it is the majority ruling party and the dominant party in the Pan-Green Coalition as of 2022. Frank Hsieh
Frank Hsieh Chang-ting (; born May 18, 1946) is a Taiwanese politician and former defense attorney. A cofounder of the Democratic Progressive Party, he has served on the Taipei City Council, the Legislative Yuan, as the mayor of Kaohsiung City, and as the Premier of the Republic of China under president Chen Shui-bian. Hsieh was the DPP nominee in the 2008 presidential election and was defeated by Ma Ying-jeou. Hsieh is currently the head of the Association of Taiwan-Japan Relations. The pan-Blue coalition, pan-Blue force or pan-Blue groups is a political coalition in the Republic of China (Taiwan) consisting of the Kuomintang (KMT), People First Party (PFP), New Party (CNP), Non-Partisan Solidarity Union (NPSU), and Young China Party (YCP). The name comes from the party color of the Kuomintang.
