Yannick Tregaro
Yannick Tregaro (born 26 March 1978 in Gunnared) is a Swedish athletics coach. Early career Tregaro was a prospective high jumper, who placed 10th in the final of the high jump at the 1996 World Junior Championships. His coach was Viljo Nousiainen. Nousiainen died in 1999. This left Tregaro and the young triple jumper Christian Olsson without a coach. This led to Yannick's decision to begin coaching, his first athlete being the young Olsson. This would go on to become a highly successful partnership. Coaching Olsson first achieved prominence as an athlete when he won a silver medal at the 2001 World Championships in Athletics in Edmonton. Tregaro coached Olsson to a gold medal in the 2003 World Championships in Athletics held in Paris leading to Olsson winning the Waterford Crystal European Athlete of the Year Trophy for 2003. Kajsa Bergqvist
Kajsa Margareta Bergqvist (; born 12 October 1976 in Sollentuna, Stockholm) is a Swedish former high jumper. She won one bronze medal in the Olympic Games, one gold and two bronze medals in the World Championships in Athletics and one gold and one bronze in the European Championships. Her personal outdoor record of 2.06 m, set in Germany in 2003, is also a Swedish record. Her indoor record of 2.08 m, set at the Hochsprung mit Musik meeting in 2006, is the world indoor record. Biography Career Bergqvist was born up in Sollentuna Municipality in Stockholm County. Her interest in sport began when she was 6 years old and tried sports such as football, volleyball, badminton, swimming, and cross-country skiing, none of which was able to keep her interest. Emma Anna-Maria Green, also known as ''Emma Green Tregaro'' (born 8 December 1984) is a retired Sweden, Swedish high jumper. She won a bronze medal in the event at the 2005 IAAF World Championships. She represented Sweden at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She finished 2nd at the 2010 European Athletics Championships with a new personal best of 2.01 m. 2005 World Championships In Athletics
The 10th World Championships in Athletics, under the auspices of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), were held in the Olympic Stadium, Helsinki, Finland (6 August 2005 – 14 August 2005), the site of the first IAAF World Championships in 1983. One theme of the 2005 championships was paralympic events, some of which were included as exhibition events. Much of the event was played in extremely heavy rainfall. Background Bidding The original winning bid for the competition was for London but the cost to build the required stadium at Picketts Lock and host the event was deemed too expensive by the government. UK Athletics suggested to move the host city to Sheffield (using Don Valley Stadium), but the IAAF stated that having London as the host city was central to their winning the bid.
