Yann Gael
Yann Gael is a French-Cameroonian actor. He is best known for ''1899'', '' Saloum'' and ''Le Rêve Français''. On the invitation of Léonora Miano, he writes a chapter of the book ''Marianne and the Black Boy'', Editions Pauvert, where he talks about black masculinity in France through his work as an actor. Early life and education Gael was born in Garoua, Cameroon. He attended the French National Academy of Drama (Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique) in Paris. Garoua
Garoua or Garua (Fula: Garwa 𞤺𞤢𞤪𞤱𞤢) is a port city and the capital of the North Region of Cameroon, lying on the Benue River. A thriving centre of the textiles and cotton industries, the city has approximately 1,285,000 inhabitants in 2020, mostly Fulbe/Fulani. History Garoua was established by the Fulani emir Modibbo Adama in the first half of the 19th century. During the steamship era, it developed into a major river port. Vues d'Afrique is an annual film festival in Montreal, Quebec. It is devoted primarily to African film, although it also includes some Canadian films about African Canadian culture. The event was staged for the first time in 1985, originally under the name African Cinema Week, and was known as Vues d'Afrique by the early 1990s. Élie Yaffa (; born 9 December 1976), better known under his stage name Booba, is a French rapper. Jantje Friese (born 1977) is a German film producer and screenwriter known for co-creating the Netflix series ''Dark'' (2017–2020) and ''1899'' (2022) with her creative and romantic partner Baran bo Odar. Work Jantje Friese studied production and media management at the University of Television and Film Munich. After graduating, she worked as a producer for Made in Munich Film Production and Neue Sentimental Film Berlin. In 2010 she was the production manager of the feature film ''The Silence'' with her partner Baran bo Odar.
