Yanlong Fu
Fu Yanlong (born 23 June 1988) is a Paralympian Track and field, athlete from China competing mainly in T42 (classification), F42 classification throwing events. Athletics history Fu represented China at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, entering the discus throw, discus and Javelin throw events (F42). In the discus he finished ninth, but a throw of 52.79 metres in the javelin gave him a Paralympic gold medal. As well as the Paralympics Hou has also been part of two Chinese teams to compete at the IPC Athletics World Championships, in 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships, 2013 in Lyon and 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships, 2015 in Doha. In Lyon he won the silver in the F42 javelin. Personal history Fu was born in Jilin, China in 1988. At the age of one he was diagnosed with polio, which has resulted in an impairment to his leg. Jilin
Jilin (; alternately romanized as Kirin or Chilin) is one of the three provinces of Northeast China. Its capital and largest city is Changchun. Jilin borders North Korea (Rasŏn, North Hamgyong, Ryanggang and Chagang) and Russia (Primorsky Krai) to the east, Heilongjiang to the north, Liaoning to the south, and Inner Mongolia to the west. Along with the rest of Northeast China, Jilin underwent an early period of industrialization. T42 is a disabled sport, disability sport classification for Paralympic athletics, disability athletics (track and jump events only), applying to athletes with single above the knee amputations or a disability that is comparable. This class includes Amputee sports classification, ISOD classified A2 and A9 competitors. Definition This classification is for Paralympic athletics, disability athletics competing in track and jump events. This classification is one of several classifications for athletes with ambulant related disabilities. Polio
Poliomyelitis, commonly shortened to polio, is an infectious disease caused by the poliovirus. Approximately 70% of cases are asymptomatic; mild symptoms which can occur include sore throat and fever; in a proportion of cases more severe symptoms develop such as headache, neck stiffness, and paresthesia. These symptoms usually pass within one or two weeks. A less common symptom is permanent paralysis, and possible death in extreme cases.. 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships
The 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships were a Paralympic track and field meet organized by the World Para Athletics subcommittee of the International Paralympic Committee. The event was the 7th edition of what is now known as the World Para Athletics Championships, held from 21 to 31 October 2015 at the Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, Qatar. It featured 119 men's events and 91 women's events. The Marathon events which are traditionally part of the world championships were separated from the competition and instead held on 26 April as part of the London Marathon. Venues In January 2013 the IPC announced that Doha would hold the 2015 athletics world championships.
