Yan Friis
Yan Calmeyer Friis (born 13 August 1952) is a Norwegian comedian, writer, music journalist and radio host. Friis started his writing career at the Norwegian Labour daily newspaper ''Arbeiderbladet''. After that he worked years at the youth magazine ''Det Nye'' where he established himself as a music writer. Since 1993 he has written articles and interviews for the magazine ''Vi Menn''. In 2000 he got the prize "Friends of Thailand" from Tourist Authorities of Thailand. Friis also worked as a humourist in NRK P1, where he since 1996 co-hosted the radio show ''Herreavdelingen''. In 2003 Friis started the publishing house Saranya Forlag together with coin dealer Jan Olav Aamlid to publish an updated version of the scientist Carl Bock's work Temples and Elephants from 1884. The book will be published in Thailand by River Books and Saranya Forlag in 2016. Friis wrote the thriller "Hanumans maske" in 2004, published by Saranya Forlag. ''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. The former party organ of the Norwegian Labour Party, the ties loosened over time from 1975 to 1999. It has borne several names, and was called ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1923 to 1997. Eirik Hoff Lysholm is editor-in-chief. The newspaper depends on economic support from the Norwegian Government. History ''Dagsavisen'' was established by Christian Holtermann Knudsen in 1884 under the name ''Vort Arbeide'' ('Our Work' in archaic Riksmål), and was affiliated with the trade union center ''Fagforeningernes Centralkomité''. ''Det Nye'' was a Norwegian language women's magazine based in Oslo, Norway. It was one of the oldest magazines published in the country. In November 2019 it went on online. History and profile ''Det Nye'' was first published in 1957. The target group of the magazine is women aged 18–25 years. NRK P1 is a nationwide digital radio channel operated by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). It is the result of the NRK radio channel reform initiated in 1993 by radio director Tor Fuglevik. NRK P1 is the direct descendant of NRK's first radio station which began broadcasting in 1933. P1's programming is aimed at a broad mature demographic and it is Norway's most popular radio station, with approximately 1.9 million listeners daily. Carl Bock (explorer)
Carl Alfred Bock (; 17 September 1849 – 10 August 1932) was a Norwegian government official, author, naturalist and explorer. Biography Bock was born in Copenhagen, Denmark when his parents were traveling on business. He was the son of merchant and factory owner Carl Henirich Bock (1812–1877) and Regitze Hansen (1826–1900). His parents had a cotton factory in Sweden. He grew up in Kristiansand and attended Kristiansand Cathedral School. He continued his education at Christiansfeld in Sønderjylland, Denmark. Later he studied zoology and natural sciences in London, England. Bock served for six years at the Norwegian-Swedish Foreign Consulate at the seaport of Grimsby, England before he came to London in 1875. 2007 Norwegian Local Elections
Country-wide local elections for seats in municipality and county councils were held throughout Norway on 10 September 2007, with some areas polling on 9 September as well. For most places this meant that two elections, the municipal elections and the county elections ran concurrently. In addition, several municipalities held direct mayoral elections. For the country at large, the election produced a major setback for the Socialist Left Party, while most other parties, including the two other parties of the governing Red-Green Coalition, the Norwegian Labour Party and the Centre Party, made some advances or held their position from 2003. The Coastal Party ( no, Kystpartiet) is a regionalist, agrarian political party in Norway. The party has district, fishing and coastal issues among its primary policies with its main political base in Northern Norway, and is a staunch opponent of Norwegian membership in the European Union.
