Yamaleela
''Yamaleela'' () is a 1994 Indian Telugu-language fantasy comedy film written and directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy, featuring comedian Ali in his first lead role. This film was a huge box office success. It was later remade in Hindi as ''Taqdeerwala'' (1995) and in Tamil as '' Lucky Man'' (1995). A spiritual successor titled ''Yamaleela 2'' was released on November 2014. A sequel television series ''Yamaleela Aa Taruvatha'' premiered in 2020. ''Yamaleela Aa Taruvatha'' was an Indian Telugu-language fantasy drama television show that aired on ETV. It is a sequel of 1994 film ''Yamaleela''. In this serial, Ali and Manju Bhargavi reprised their roles as Suraj and Suraj's mother respectively. Although a sequel has been made, the show is based on the events that happened after the ''Yamaleela'' (1996). The plot revolves around Suraj's daughter Chinni, who is adopted by a village woman when her parents are killed by a deadly accident and her grandmother tries to find her at any cost. ''Yamaleela 2'' is a 2014 Telugu fantasy drama film directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. The film stars Dr. K. V. Satish, Diah Nicholas, Mohan Babu and Brahmanandam in the lead roles. The film is a spiritual sequel to the 1994 film ''Yamaleela''. Brahmanandam reprised his role as Chitragupta from the original while Mohan Babu played Yama, which was played by veteran actor Kaikala Satyanarayana in the earlier film. The film revolves around Krish (K. V. Satish), a medical professional, who goes to Manasarovar Lake to retrieve Sanjeevani, a herb which has the potential to cure cancer. Manju Bhargavi (born 1955) is an actress and dancer, best known for her performance in the Telugu blockbuster film Sankarabharanam (1979) and Nayakudu Vinayakudu (1980). Early life Manju Bhargavi parents originally hailed from Andhra Pradesh but settled in Madras. After marriage she settled in Bengaluru.
