Yamaha CP300
The Yamaha CP300 is a digital stage piano. Introduced in 2006, the Yamaha CP300 offers almost identical specifications compared to the P250 it replaces. However, the primary sounds have been significantly improved, including emulation of "half-pedaling" effects. The addition of "C" in the name is an homage to the mid-1970s CP series of electric stage pianos, and also to distinguish it from P-300, an economical 32-voice version of P-200, a flagship stage piano of that period. Other improvements include the addition of 5 sliders for real-time parameter control, a transpose button, and balanced output via XLR connectors. Stage Piano
A stage piano is an electronic musical instrument designed for use in live performances on stage or in a studio, as well as for music recording in jazz and popular music. While stage pianos share some of the same features as digital pianos designed for home use and synthesizers, they have a number of features which set them apart. Stage pianos usually provide a smaller number of sounds (usually Acoustic piano, Electric piano, and Hammond organ), with these being of higher quality than the ones found on regular digital pianos and home synthesizers. Yamaha P250
The Yamaha P-250 is a digital stage piano. It was announced in mid-2003 as a replacement for the Yamaha P-200 and went to market shortly thereafter. The P-250 features various stereo piano samples, plus hundreds of other MIDI, General MIDI and XG sounds. It features 88 progressively-weighted keys, plus a built-in amplifier driving the on-board stereo speakers. It weighs approximately 70 lbs (32 kg). The P-250 was discontinued by the manufacturer and replaced with the Yamaha CP300. The Yamaha CP300 looks almost identical to the P250, but features some modifications in sounds, and the addition of performance sliders. This piano is known to be preferred by Regina Spektor to play "Dance Anthem of the 80's" during her live concerts.
