The Most Venerable was the 253rd head priest of the Japanese Tendai school of Mahayana Buddhism. In 1986, Yamada was invited by Pope John Paul II to be one of the few non-Christian religious leaders to attend the World Day of Prayer for Peace in Assisi, Italy. In 1987, he held a religious summit meeting on Mount Hiei near Kyoto. This event has been held annually to the present day, inviting religious leaders to gather to pray for worldwide peace and reconciliation. Yamada conducted ecumenical dialogues with religious leaders around the world based on his interpretation of the Lotus Sutra which culminated in a 1987 summit. is a Japanese politician born on January 8, 1958. He is a former member of the House of Representatives and was the inaugural Secretary-General of the Party for Future Generations, an opposition party formed in August 2014. A graduate of Kyoto University (with a major in law), In April 2010 Yamada became chairman of the Spirit of Japan Party, which he founded for the Upper House election, with Hiroshi Nakada, the former mayor of Yokohama, and Hiroshi Saitō, the former governor of Yamagata. The party won a few seats at the prefectural and municipal level in the regional elections in 2011, and broke up in the fall of 2012 to join the Japan Restoration Party of the former governor of Tokyo Shintaro Ishihara, and later joined his Party for Future Generations. was a Japanese Vice Admiral of the First Sino-Japanese War and the Russo-Japanese War. He was known for being the commander of the Seventh Division of the Third Fleet during the Battle of the Yellow Sea and the Battle of Tsushima. Biography Hikohachi was born on April 15, 1855, at the Kagoshima Castle within the Satsuma Province. Goro Yamada
was a Japanese football player and manager. He managed Japan national team. Playing career Yamada was born in Nihonmatsu on March 3, 1894. After graduating from Tokyo Aoyama Normal School, he played for Tokyo Shukyu-Dan while working as a teacher at primary school. The club won first Emperor's Cup in 1921. He played as right midfielder and captain. Coaching career In 1925, Yamada became manager for Japan national team for 1925 Far Eastern Championship Games in Manila. He managed 2 matches at this competition, but Japan lost in both matches (0-4, v Philippines and 0-2, v Republic of China). After retirement In 1926, Yamada became a football journalist for Asahi Shimbun. He also served as a director of Japan Football Association from 1924 to 1958.
