Pavlo Oleksandrovych Yakovenko ( uk, Павло Олександрович Яковенко) – or Pavel Aleksandrovich Yakovenko (russian: Павел Александрович Яковенко; born 19 December 1964 in Nikopol, Ukrainian SSR), is a former Ukrainian footballer and USSR international. Personal life He is the father of the Ukrainian footballers Oleksandr Yakovenko and Yuriy Yakovenko. Playing career Yakovenko's superb build-up play during the mid-1980s made him the starting midfielder for both Dynamo Kyiv and the USSR national football team during their respective successful campaigns of winning the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and advancing to the top 16 in the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Yuriy Yakovenko ( ua, Юрій Павлович Яковенко; born 3 September 1993) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a forward. Career Yakovenko is product of youth team systems of FC Arsenal Kyiv, but in July 2010 transferred to other Kyivan club Obolon. He made his debut for FC Obolon Kyiv entering as a substituted player in game against FC Chornomorets Odesa on 31 October 2011 in Ukrainian Premier League. On 27 July 2017, Yakovenko signed with Danish club Esbjerg FB. Nikolay Yakovenko
Nikolay Ivanovich Yakovenko (russian: Николай Иванович Яковенко, 5 November 1941 – 22 December 2006) was a heavyweight Greco-Roman wrestler from Russia. He won the world title in 1967 and 1969 and Olympic silver medals in 1968 and 1972. Yakovenko took up wrestling in 1958 and won his first Soviet title in 1961, in the welterweight division. He was included to the Soviet national team in 1967, when he moved up to the light-heavyweight category. In 1969 he won his last Soviet title, in the heavyweight division. He retired after the 1972 Olympics and had a long career as a wrestling coach and official.
