It stars Jaypee de Guzman, Janet Elisa Giron, Jocelyn Dela-Cruz and Tom-tom. It premiered on April 25, 1983. The series concluded on August 2, 1985 with a total of 586 episodes. It was replaced by ''Amorsola'' on its timeslot. The series was adapted into a film ''Mga Batang Yagit'' in 1984 and a television series in 2014. ''Yagit'' (International title: ''Pushcart of Dreams'' / ) is a Philippine television drama series broadcast by GMA Network. The series is based on a 1983 Philippine television drama series of the same title. Directed by Gina Alajar, it stars Chlaui Malayao, Zymic Jaranilla, Judie Dela Cruz and Jemwell Ventinilla. It premiered on October 13, 2014 on the network's Afternoon Prime line up replacing '' Dading''. The series concluded on July 24, 2015 with a total of 203 episodes. It was replaced by ''Buena Familia'' in its timeslot. Jaypee James de Guzman (born April 20, 1978) is a multi-awarded actor in the Philippines. He was a famous child star of the '80s along with Bamba, Lady Lee, RR Herrera, Chuckie Dreyfus, Glaiza Herradura, Rose Ann Gonzales, Matet de Leon and Aiza Seguerra, among others. He received his first award as the Best Child Performer in the Metro Manila Film Festival movie ''Teng Teng De Sarapen'' (1983) starring Dolphy and Alma Moreno.
