''Yada Yada'' is the eighth studio album by Dutch rock and roll and blues group Herman Brood & His Wild Romance. The album, produced by George Kooymans of Golden Earring, was one of many moderately successful albums by Brood in the mid 1980s; it reached #9 on the Dutch album chart on 19 March 1988, and stayed on the chart for 14 weeks. "Groovin'" and "Babies" failed to chart, but "Sleepin' Bird" (B-side "Cut Me Loose," "Street Flower") reached #27 in the Dutch Top 40 on 2 April 1988, and stayed on the chart for four weeks. Herman Brood
Hermanus "Herman" Brood (; 5 November 1946 – 11 July 2001) was a Dutch musician, painter, actor and poet. As a musician he achieved artistic and commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s, and was called "the greatest and only Dutch rock 'n' roll star". Later in life he started a successful career as a painter. Known for his hedonistic lifestyle of "sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll", Brood was an ''enfant terrible'' and a cultural figure whose suicide by jumping from a hotel roof, apparently influenced by a failure to kick his drug and alcohol habit, strengthened his controversial status; according to a poll organised to celebrate fifty years of Dutch popular music, it was the most significant event in its history. Blues is a music genre and musical form which originated in the Deep South of the United States around the 1860s. Blues incorporated spirituals, work songs, field hollers, shouts, chants, and rhymed simple narrative ballads from the African-American culture. CBS Records International was the international arm of the Columbia Records unit of Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc. (CBS) formed in 1961 and launched in 1962. George Kooymans
George Jan Kooymans (born 11 March 1948, The Hague, Netherlands) is a Dutch guitarist and vocalist. He is best known for his work with the Dutch group Golden Earring. Kooymans wrote "Twilight Zone (Golden Earring song), Twilight Zone", the group's only Top 10 Pop Single on the US Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100, which hit No. 1 on the ''Billboard'' Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks, Top Album Tracks chart. Kooymans also wrote and produced for other artists. In 2017 and 2018 he released two albums as a member of Vreemde Kostgangers (Strange Boarders), a Dutch-language supergroup he formed with Henny Vrienten (bass player of the band Doe Maar) and singer-songwriter Boudewijn de Groot. In February, 2021, Kooymans announced that he was suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and would retire. Shortly afterward, Golden Earring announced they would disband. Golden Earring (originally known as The Tornados) was a Dutch rock band, founded in 1961 in The Hague as The Golden Earrings. They achieved worldwide fame with their international hit songs "Radar Love" in 1973, which went to number one on the Dutch charts, reached the top ten in the United Kingdom, and went to number thirteen on the United States charts, " Twilight Zone" in 1982, and "When the Lady Smiles" in 1984. Run For Your Life (Beatles Song)
"Run for Your Life" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1965 album ''Rubber Soul''. It was written primarily by John Lennon, though credited to Lennon–McCartney. Lyrics The song's lyrics establish a threatening tone towards the singer's unnamed girlfriend (referred to throughout the song as "little girl"), claiming "I'd rather see you dead, little girl, than to be with another man." The line was taken from an early Elvis Presley song, "Baby Let's Play House" (written by Arthur Gunter). Composition and recording "Run for Your Life" was the first song recorded for ''Rubber Soul'', on 12 October 1965; "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" was also recorded later that day. The song has only one section, a verse-refrain combination, with the guitar duet introducing a six-bar blues.
