Yabluniv ( uk, Яблунів, pl, Jabłonów, yi, יאבלונוב, Yablanov, russian: Яблонoв) is an urban-type settlement in Kosiv Raion, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine. Kosiv Raion ( uk, Ко́сівський райо́н, translit=Kosiwśkyj rajon) is a raion (district) of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast of Ukraine. The city of Kosiv is the administrative center of the raion. Population: . Maksymilian Nowicki
Maksymilian Siła-Nowicki (9 October 1826 – 30 October 1890) was a Polish zoology professor and pioneer conservationist in Austrian Poland, and father of the poet Franciszek Nowicki. He was brother-in-law to Kraków University law professor and rector Franciszek Kasparek. Career Nowicki began his career as a teacher in the countryside of eastern Galicia, and by dint of ambition and self-education eventually became a professor of zoology at Kraków University (1863–90). In 1873, he was inducted into the Kraków-based Academy of Learning. Also in 1873, he co-founded the Tatras Society ('' Towarzystwo Tatrzańskie''). In 1879, he founded the National Fishing Society ('' Krajowe Towarzystwo Rybackie''). His greatest academic achievements were in entomology, ichthyology and ornithology. Museum "Wooden Sculpture"
Museum "Wooden Sculpture" or Wooden Sculpture Museum was created in 2008 by artist Igor Fartushnyi. The museum is located in village Yabluniv, Kosiv district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine. The museum exhibition consists of master Igor's works. Museum Exhibition Museum exhibition includes more than 100 sculptures made by the artist during his life. Even more sculptures are under the creation process. They are of the different themes: real and fantastic birds, animals, people. The idea is not to create something totally new from the wood, but help the nature to show and express its own art. Marcel Marceau (; born Marcel Mangel; 22 March 1923 – 22 September 2007) was a French actor and mime artist most famous for his stage persona, "Bip the Clown". Stanisław Jan Jabłonowski
Prince Stanisław Jan Jabłonowski (1634–1702) was a Polish nobleman, magnate, Grand Guardian of the Crown since 1660, the Grand Camp Leader of the Crown since 1661, voivode of the Ruthenian Voivodship since 1664, Field Crown Hetman since 1676, Great Crown Hetman since 1683 and castellan of Kraków since 1692. Jabłonowski was a candidate for the Polish Throne following the death of King John III Sobieski. A talented and skillful political and military leader, Jabłonowski participated in the War with Sweden during The Deluge, then with the Cossacks and Muscovy. Franciszek Henryk Siła-Nowicki (29 January 1864, in Kraków, Austrian Empire – 3 September 1935, in Zawoja, Poland) was a Young Poland poet, a mountaineer, socialist activist, and designer of the ''Orla Perć'' (Eagle's Path) High Tatras mountain trail.
