Yaakov Hagoel
Yaakov Hagoel (born February 19, 1971) (Hebrew: יעקב חגואל), is the Chairman of the Executive of the World Zionist Organization. He was formerly acting chairman of The Jewish Agency for Israel. Between 2015 - 2020 Hagoel served as the Vice Chairman of the WZO. He was also the Head of the WZO's Department of Activities in Israel and Countering Antisemitism. Vice Chairman of the World Zionist Organization Hagoel was elected to the position of Vice Chairman of the World Zionist Organization at the 37th Zionist Congress in October, 2015. Hagoel was elected to the position of the WZO's Department for Activities in Israel & Countering Antisemitism in 2010. World Zionist Organization
The World Zionist Organization ( he, הַהִסְתַּדְּרוּת הַצִּיּוֹנִית הָעוֹלָמִית; ''HaHistadrut HaTzionit Ha'Olamit''), or WZO, is a non-governmental organization that promotes Zionism. It was founded as the Zionist Organization (ZO; 1897–1960) at the initiative of Theodor Herzl at the First Zionist Congress, which took place in August 1897 in Basel, Switzerland. The goals of the Zionist movement were set out in the Basel Program. Betar
The Betar Movement ( he, תנועת בית"ר), also spelled Beitar (), is a Revisionist Zionist youth movement founded in 1923 in Riga, Latvia, by Vladimir (Ze'ev) Jabotinsky. Chapters sprang up across Europe, even during World War II. After the war and during the settlement of what became Israel, Betar was traditionally linked to the original Herut and then Likud political parties of Jewish pioneers. It was closely affiliated with the pre-Israel Revisionist Zionist paramilitary group Irgun Zevai Leumi. It was one of many right-wing movements and youth groups arising at that time that adopted special salutes and uniforms. Herzl Museum
The Herzl Museum is a museum in Jerusalem, which deals with activities and vision of Theodor Herzl. The museum is located at the main entrance plaza to Mount Herzl. History Shortly after Herzl's death, the Anglo–Palestine Bank acquired about in south-central Palestine, where the Hulda Forest is located today, for a farm and a large building that would house the farm's management and double as a museum dedicated to Herzl. However, the museum was not created and only in 1960s one was built on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. The museum included exhibits on Herzl's life, including a reproduction of his study in Vienna. In 2000 it was closed due to poor maintenance, but reopened in 2005, following the centenary of Herzl's death. Ariel University
Ariel University ( he, אוניברסיטת אריאל), previously a public college known as the Ariel University Center of Samaria, is an Israeli university located in the urban Israeli settlement of Ariel (city), Ariel in the West Bank. The college preceding the establishment of Ariel University was founded in 1982 as a regional branch of Bar-Ilan University.
