Yugoslav Olympic Committee
The Yugoslav Olympic Committee ( hr, Jugoslavenski olimpijski komitet; sr-Cyrl-Latn, Југословенски олимпијски комитет, Jugoslovenski olimpijski komitet, separator=" / "; sl, Jugoslovanski оlimpijski кomite; mk, Југословенски олимписки комитет, translit=Jugoslovenski olimpiski komitet) was the non-profit organization representing Yugoslav athletes in the International Olympic Committee. Rajko Mitić
Rajko Mitić ( sr-Cyrl, Рајко Митић, ; 19 November 1922 – 29 March 2008) was a Serbian footballer, coach, executive and journalist. Mitić is considered one of the most important players in the history of Red Star Belgrade as he is the first out of only five players to have been awarded the ''Zvezdina zvezda''. In December 2014, Red Star Stadium, the principal stadium in Serbia, was officially renamed after him. Playing career Club career Košutnjak and BSK Before becoming the first successful player of Red Star Belgrade, Mitić started his career in 1937 on the football fields of Košutnjak. Ivo Štakula
Ivo Štakula (February 25, 1923 – October 26, 1958) was a Croatian water polo player who represented Croatia and Yugoslavia nationally and was a long-time player for VK Jug Dubrovnik. Veljko Bakašun
Veljko Bakašun (June 14, 1920 – July 17, 2007) was a Croat water polo player who competed for Yugoslavia in the 1948 Summer Olympics and in the 1952 Summer Olympics. He died in Korčula. Bakašun was part of the Yugoslav team which was eliminated in the second round of the 1948 Olympic tournament. He played all three matches. The Football tournament at the 1952 Summer Olympics was won by Hungary. The games signalled the arrival (to Western Europeans at least) of the Hungarian national football team – the "Magical Magyars". Ferenc Puskás later said of the 1952 competition: "It was during the Olympics that our football first started to flow with real power." Vladimir Čonč
Vladimir Čonč (13 January 1928 – 15 October 2012) was a Croatian footballer. Club career He played for several clubs from Zagreb, including Građanski, NK Poštar and Lokomotiva, but is best remembered for his eight-year spell with Dinamo Zagreb where he played from 1953 to 1961. He appeared in a total of 413 games and scored 119 goals for the Blues (including 173 appearances and 43 goals in the Yugoslav First League). After leaving Dinamo in 1961 he spent several seasons with German lower level sides Kickers Offenbach, Eintracht Bad Kreuznach and Opel Rüsselsheim before retiring in 1966. Zdravko Rajkov
Zdravko Rajkov ( sr-Cyrl, Здравко Рајков; 5 December 1927 – 30 July 2006) was a Serbian football striker and manager. On the national level he played for Yugoslavia national team scoring 11 goals in 28 matches, and participated in the 1958 FIFA World Cup, where he scored a goal in the match against Paraguay. He was also part of Yugoslavia's squad at the 1952 Summer Olympics, but he did not play in any matches. Slavko Luštica
Slavko Luštica (11 January 1923 – 14 July 1992) was a footballer who represented Yugoslavia at the 1952 Summer Olympics. He played club football in Yugoslavia with NK Osvit and Hajduk Split. Playing career Club Born in a small fishing community in the Bay of Kotor, Luštica started playing youth football at NK Osvit based in Šibenik, moving to the senior team at only 13 but he was first noticed by the public when he played in the Yugoslavia youth team which beat the then-powerful Hungary youth selection in Belgrade. Soon after that he signed for Hajduk Split, where he spent the rest of his playing career. His official debut for the club was on 9.3.1941 in a 5–2 win against Concordia Zagreb. During WW2 he played in all of Hajduk's games after the club escaped (and was temporarily relocated) to the island of Vis in 1944.
