Yuen Long () is an MTR Light Rail (MTR), Light Rail stop in Hong Kong. It is located at ground level underneath Sun Yuen Long Centre in Yuen Long District of the New Territories, and is the northeasternmost Light Rail stop. Yuen Long District
Yuen Long District (formerly romanised as Un Long) is one of the districts of Hong Kong. Located in the northwest of the New Territories, it had a population of 662,000 in 2021 Geography Yuen Long District contains the largest alluvial plain in Hong Kong, the Yuen Long-Kam Tin plain. With an area of 144 km2, the district covers many traditional villages including Ping Shan Heung, Ha Tsuen Heung, Kam Tin Heung, Fung Kat Heung, Pat Heung, San Tin Heung and Shap Pat Heung, as well as Yuen Long Town and Tin Shui Wai. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC; ) is a Hong Kong wholly government-owned railway and land asset manager. It was established in 1982 under the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation Ordinance for the purposes of operating the Kowloon–Canton Railway (KCR), and to construct and operate other new railways. On 2 December 2007, the MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL), another railway operator in Hong Kong, took over the operations of the KCR network under a 50-year service concession agreement, which can be extended. Sun Yuen Long Centre () is a private housing estate and shopping centre in Yuen Long, New Territories, Hong Kong, above Light Rail Yuen Long stop and next to MTR West Rail line Yuen Long station. New Territories
The New Territories is one of the three main regions of Hong Kong, alongside Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula. It makes up 86.2% of Hong Kong's territory, and contains around half of the population of Hong Kong. Tuen Ma Line
The Tuen Ma line () is a rapid transit line that forms part of the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) system in Hong Kong. Coloured brown on the map, the Tuen Ma line is in length, making it the longest line of the MTR network. It has a total of 27 stations, more than any other in the MTR system. The Tuen Ma line is a merger of the two former MTR lines, the West Rail line and the Ma On Shan line, via a new stretch of mostly-underground railway known as the "Tai Wai to Hung Hom section" () of the Sha Tin to Central Link project, consisting of of track and six new intermediate stations. Yuen Long Station
Yuen Long () is an MTR station in the north-eastern part of Yuen Long Town, New Territories, Hong Kong, on the between and . It is an interchange between the and Yuen Long stop of the system. History Yuen Long and Long Ping station were built under a combined contract, numbered CC-202, which was awarded to the AMEC-Hong Kong Construction Joint Venture. The Mass Transit Railway (MTR) is a major public transport network serving :Hong Kong.
