Ysgol Llanfyllin is a bilingual all-through school for ages 4 to 18 in Llanfyllin, Powys. It opened in September 2010 after the merger of Llanfyllin County Primary School and Llanfyllin High School. All-through School

Llanfyllin
Llanfyllin ( – ) is a market town, community and electoral ward in a sparsely populated area in Montgomeryshire, Powys, Wales. Llanfyllin's community population in 2011 was 1,532, of whom 34.1% could speak Welsh. Llanfyllin means ''church or parish'' (llan) ''of St Myllin'' ('m' frequently mutates to 'f' in Welsh). The community includes the tiny settlements of Bodfach, Ty Crwyn, Abernaint and several farms. Geography The town lies in the valley of the River Cain near the Berwyn Mountains in Montgomeryshire, southwest of Oswestry and from Montgomery. The River Cain is joined by the small River Abel in Llanfyllin (presumably named after Cain and Abel in the Bible), and meanders through the valley, flowing into the River Vyrnwy at Llansantffraid. The ''Shropshire Star'' is reputedly the twelfth biggest-selling regional newspaper in the UK. It is based at Grosvenor House, Telford where it covers the whole of Shropshire plus parts of Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and Mid Wales. Llanfyllin High School
Llanfyllin High School (''Ysgol Uwchradd Llanfyllin'') is a bilingual secondary school situated in the mid-Wales town of Llanfyllin. It currently has around 1000 pupils drawn from the town and the surrounding area. About a quarter of the pupils live across the English border in Shropshire. As a bilingual school, Llanfyllin High School has a Welsh language stream in which most subjects are taught in Welsh, and an English language stream in which most subjects are taught in English. Some courses are taught bilingually. About 19% of pupils have Welsh as their first language. A group of pupils in years 6 to 9 participate in a project named ''Trochi'' (Immersion) to increase their fluency in Welsh and allow them to transfer to the Welsh language stream.
