The Youth Organisation of New Democracy ( el, Οργάνωση Νέων Νέας Δημοκρατίας, ΟΝΝΕΔ) is the youth organisation of the liberal Greek political party New Democracy. It was founded in 1974 by young members of New Democracy. Orfeas Georgiou
Orfeas ( el, Ορφέας), named after the mythical musician Orpheus, is a former municipality in the Evros regional unit, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Soufli, of which it is a municipal unit. Its land area is 643.266 km² (248.366 sq mi) and its population was 4,761 inhabitants at the 2011 census. It is located in the north-central part of Evros, and borders both southeastern Bulgaria and northwestern Turkey. The seat of the municipality was in Lavara (pop. 1,093 in 2011). Much of the land is mountainous and forested to the west, extending up to the Rhodope regional unit. Anastasios Papaligouras
Anastasios Papaligouras ( el, Αναστάσιος Παπαληγούρας; born 14 April 1948) is a Greek lawyer and New Democracy politician and was Minister for Mercantile Marine and Island Policy. Born in Athens, Papaligouras studied law at the University of Athens and took a Masters in Comparative European Law at Brunel University, London. He was leader of ONNED (the New Democracy youth organisation) from 1976 to 1977. From 1976 to 1978, he was a member of the New Democracy Executive Committee, and from 1976 to 1981 he was a member of the New Democracy Administrative Committee. He was elected MP for Korinthia in the general elections of 1981, 1985, 1993, 1996 and 2000.
