Young Liberals Of Canada
The Young Liberals of Canada (YLC) (French: ''Jeunes libéraux du Canada'') is the national youth wing of the Liberal Party of Canada. All members of the Liberal Party aged 25 and under are automatically members of the YLC. The Young Liberals of Canada are an official commission of the Liberal Party and the largest youth political organization in Canada. The YLC is composed of Provincial and Territorial Boards (PTBs) in all ten provinces and clubs on almost 50 post-secondary campuses and in most of Canada's 338 ridings. The organization is led by the National Executive, the current national chair is Lucas Borchenko. The YLC plays a key role in both mobilizing young people to help elect Liberal MPs during elections, and developing and promoting progressive policies between them. Joe Peschisolido (born April 27, 1963) is a Canadian lawyer and politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the riding of Richmond from 2000 to 2004 and as the MP for Steveston—Richmond East from 2015 to 2019. He was first elected as a member of the Canadian Alliance, but crossed the floor to the Liberal Party in 2002. Background Peschisolido has a Bachelor of Arts (honours) degree in political science from Trinity College at the University of Toronto and a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. Bornmann is a former consultant and founding partner of Pilothouse Public Affairs. The Ontario Young Liberals (OYL) is the official youth wing of the Ontario Liberal Party. The OYL's membership includes all members of the Ontario Liberal Party aged 25 and under. The organization is divided into campus and riding clubs and led by a 16-member executive board.
