You Can't Miss Nothing That You Never Had
"You Can't Miss Nothing That You Never Had" is a song written by Ike Turner and released by Ike & Tina Turner in 1964. Release "You Can't Miss Nothing That You Never Had" was released as non-album track on Ike Turner's Sonja label in February 1964. At the time of the release, ''Billboard'' magazine had discontinued the R&B singles chart from November 30, 1963 to January 23, 1965. ''Billboard'' therefore uses ''Cash Box'' magazine's stat in their place. The single reached No. 29 on the R&B charts and No. 122 on Bubbling Under The Hot 100. "You Can't Miss Nothing That You Never Had" was later included on the Kent compilations ''The Ike & Tina Turner Sessions'' (1987) and '' The Kent Years'' (2000). Critical reception ''Cash Box'' (February 15, 1964): The vet r&b singers could create a sales stir with this top-flight medium-paced tear-jerker with commercial rhythmic, teen-angled beat. Eye it. Track listing Covers * The Detroit Cobras released a version titled "Can't M ...

Ike & Tina Turner
Ike & Tina Turner were an American musical duo consisting of husband and wife Ike Turner and Tina Turner. From 1960 to 1976, they performed live as the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, supported by Ike Turner's band the Kings of Rhythm and backing vocalists called the Ikettes. The Ike & Tina Turner Revue was regarded as "one of the most potent live acts on the R&B circuit." The duo had a string of R&B hits with their early recordings "A Fool In Love", "It's Gonna Work Out Fine", "I Idolize You", " Poor Fool", and " Tra La La La La". The release of "River Deep – Mountain High" in 1966, followed by a tour of the UK with The Rolling Stones, increased their popularity in Europe. Their later works are noted for interpretive soul-infused re-arrangements of rock songs such as "Come Together", "Honky Tonk Woman", and "Proud Mary", the latter of which won them a Grammy Award in 1972. Ike & Tina Turner received the first Golden European Record Award for their international hit "Nutbush City Limi ...

The Detroit Cobras
The Detroit Cobras were an American garage rock band from Detroit, Michigan, which was formed around 1994 by vocalist Rachel Nagy and guitarist Mary Ramirez, with a constantly changing assortment of (mostly male) sidemen. Nagy died on January 14, 2022, and no plans to continue without her have been announced. History The Detroit Cobras signed with Sympathy for the Record Industry and released their first album, ''Mink, Rat or Rabbit'', in 1998. After a three-year gap, they released a second album, ''Life, Love and Leaving''. The two albums consisted entirely of cover versions of popular songs from the 1960s. In 2001, they were one of thirteen Michigan-based bands featured on Jack White's ''Sympathetic Sounds of Detroit'' compilation album: the Detroit Cobras' contribution was a cover of Otis Redding's "Shout Bamalama." Their retro-garage rock formula proved popular in the UK and prompted the London-based Rough Trade Records to sign the band. They released an EP, ''Seven Easy P ...
