''You'' (french: Toi) is a Canadian drama film, directed by François Delisle and released in 2007. The film stars Anne-Marie Cadieux as Michèle, an emotionally troubled woman who leaves her unhappy marriage to Paul (Laurent Lucas) for her lover Thomas (Marc Béland), only to discover that being with Thomas does not make her any happier. The film's cast also includes Ève Cournoyer, Raphaël Dury, Marie-France Lambert and Michelle Rossignol. François Delisle
François Delisle (born March 22, 1967) is a Canadian film director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer, editor, actor, and composer. Career Between 1987 and 1990, Delisle directed several experimental short films. Some were selected for various international festivals. In 1991, Delisle came to critics’ attention when he was named best new director of short and medium-length films at the Rendez-Vous du cinéma québécois for his medium-length film ''Beebe-Plain''. In 1994, ''Ruth'', Delisle's first feature film, was named best feature of the year and best screenplay at the Rendez-Vous du cinéma québécois. In 2002, Delisle founded the company Films 53/12 to direct and produce his second feature; ''Happiness is a Sad Song''. Anne-Marie Cadieux (born September 23, 1963) is a Canadian actress, film director and screenwriter. She has won a Jutra Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in '' Streetheart (Le Cœur au poing)'' and in 2008 was nominated for a Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for her role in ''You (Toi)''. Genie Award
The Genie Awards were given out annually by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television to recognize the best of Canadian cinema from 1980–2012. They succeeded the Canadian Film Awards (1949–1978; also known as the "Etrog Awards," for sculptor Sorel Etrog, who designed the statuette). Genie Award candidates were selected from submissions made by the owners of Canadian films or their representatives, based on the criteria laid out in the ''Genie Rules and Regulations'' booklet which is distributed to Academy members and industry members.
