"You're the Greatest Lover" is a single by the Dutch girl group Luv', released in July 1978 by Philips/Phonogram Records. It appears on the 1978 debut album '' With Luv'''. The song is the group's international breakthrough as it was successful in a large part of Continental Europe, Israel and South Africa. Luv' reached its peak with this million-seller. "You're the Greatest Lover" is often considered the signature song of the female pop act. A decade later, Philips' German subsidiary reissued the track as a CD single. In 1993, the Dutch Top 40 hit " Megamix '93" was backed with a Eurodance remix of "The Greatest Lover". Luv' were a Dutch girl group that scored a string of hit records in Continental Europe ( Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain, Denmark, Norway and Finland) as well as Israel, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Argentina and Mexico in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The original members were Patty Brard, José Hoebee and Marga Scheide. In 1979, Luv' was 'Holland's best export act' and thus received the Conamus Export Prize. The band sold more than seven million records worldwide (singles and albums). José Hoebee
Josina van de Wijdeven (born 29 March 1954), known as José Hoebee, is a Dutch people, Dutch pop music, pop singer. She was a member of Luv' in the late 1970s and early 1980s that scored hits in more than 15 countries. In late 1981, she went solo and was successful in her homeland and in the Flanders region of Belgium between 1982 and 1985. She formed a duo known as Bonnie & José with Bonnie St. Claire to record Dutch cover versions of ABBA's songs. Luv' went through line-up changes and reunited several times. On 7 February 2020 the group's management announced that Luv' would stop all their activities due to José's ill health. ''4 Gouden Hits'' is the fifteenth single by the Dutch girl group Luv', released in 1989 by Philips Records. This maxi CD single includes four hit songs that were successful in 1978 and 1979—"You're the Greatest Lover", "Trojan Horse", " Casanova" and " U.O.Me (You Owe Me)". Background In 1989, Luv' made a comeback in 1989 with Marga Scheide (as the only original member) and two new vocalists (Diana van Berlo and Michelle Gold who replaced respectively José Hoebee and Patty Brard). A derrick is a lifting device composed at minimum of one guyed mast, as in a gin pole, which may be articulated over a load by adjusting its guys. Most derricks have at least two components, either a guyed mast or self-supporting tower, and a boom hinged at its base to provide articulation, as in a stiffleg derrick. ''Der Musikladen'' () was a West German music television programme that ran from 13 December 1972 to 29 November 1984. The show continued the 1960s ''Beat-Club'' under a new name, and in turn was replaced by ''Extratour''. History Around 90 episodes were aired, plus 59 as ''Musikladen extra'' with most being made in the period between 1974 and 1979. All episodes were produced by Radio Bremen and directed by Michael Leckebusch.
