Yohanna Barnaba Abdallah
Yohanna Barnaba Abdallah (died 1924) was a clergyman and historian of the Yao people of central Africa. Life Abdallah was born in northern Mozambique, and was the stepson of Barnaba, a village chief. He was ordained as an Anglican priest at Likoma Cathedral in 1898. After a brief stint at Zanzibar, he took up residence at the Unangu station on the east side of Lake Malawi, eventually spending most of his career there. He was the first priest to be ordained in the Diocese of Nyasaland. He made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 1905. In 1924, Father Abdallah, en route to the coast for a holiday fell seriously ill in Medo, and died, possibly of pneumonia, on 11th Feb 1924. Yohanna Dickson
Colonel (rtd) Yohanna Dickson (28 December 1950 – 14 July 2015) was Administrator of Taraba State, Nigeria from December 1993 to August 1996 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha. In April 2001, Yohanna was named a member of the steering committee of the newly formed United Nigeria Development Forum (UNDF), a political group headed by several former military governors. In the April 2003 elections, Dickson was an unsuccessful candidate running on the United Nigeria People's Party (UNPP) platform for the Kaduna South senatorial seat. Dickson challenged the result, saying the winner, Isaiah Balat of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), was not qualified to run for election. Dickson later transferred to the PDP. Yohanna Logan (born January 15, 1975) is an American fashion designer. She was born in upstate New York. Later, she moved to Manhattan and then Los Angeles to become a successful clothing designer and lead singer of the band Wow! Cougar, an electro-rock band. Barrister (Colonel) Yohanna Anteyan Madaki (1941–2006) was Governor of Gongola State and then of Benue State, Nigeria during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida. Background Yohanna Madaki was born in 1941 in Ziturung Ka̠ryi, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area in Kaduna State. He attended the then St Paul's Primary School in Zonkwa Kaduna State and thereafter proceeded to the Nigerian Military School (NMS) Zaria. Upon completing the NMS program, he enlisted as a Private in the Nigerian Army and served in various Battalions before proceeding to the Mons Cadet Officer Academy at Aldershot England. Jóhanna Guðrún Jónsdóttir (born 16 October 1990), known outside Iceland as Yohanna, is an Icelandic-Danish singer. Beginning her music career as a child singer, Yohanna received international recognition after representing Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song " Is It True?", placing as the runner-up. This tied for the best result Iceland had ever achieved in the contest. Following the success at Eurovision, she released the studio album ''Butterflies and Elvis'' (2009).
