Yio Chu Kang MRT Station
Yio Chu Kang MRT station is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North South line in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore, near the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8. This station primarily serves students of adjacent educational institutions such as Anderson Serangoon Junior College and Nanyang Polytechnic, as well as the residential and industrial estates in the northern part of Ang Mo Kio. The section of tracks between this station and Khatib MRT station is the longest between any two stations on the MRT network. Opened on 7 November 1987, Yio Chu Kang station is one of the five stations that collectively make up Singapore's oldest MRT stations. Presbyterian High School is a co-educational government-aided Presbyterian secondary school in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. It is located directly opposite Yio Chu Kang MRT station. History Li Sun High School In 1960, under the vision and conviction of founding father, Reverend Alan S. Moore Anderson, the Presbyterian Synod passed the resolution to start a God-centred institution of learning and Li Sun High School was thus founded in 1965 at Upper Serangoon Road. Yio Chu Kang Stadium
Yio Chu Kang Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. It has a seating capacity of 2,000. It is run by Sport Singapore and was opened to the public on 1 April 1985. Bishan Depot
Bishan Depot is a depot located on the Mass Rapid Transit in Bishan, Singapore. It was completed in 1987 by American architect Vikas M. Gore and the 12,000 square metres maintenance area at cost of S$300 million. The depot comprises a storage yard with a capacity of 59 trains and has an area of 300,000 m2. The depot also houses a central maintenance facility with train overhaul facilities for trains on the North South line operated by SMRT. Bishan depot previously provided maintenance work for the East West line too, prior to the opening of the Tuas Depot. It also acts as a training centre for newly recruited staff, and is where the faregate operation department is located. Bishan MRT Station
Bishan MRT station is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the North South (NSL) and Circle (CCL) lines in Bishan, Singapore. Located along Bishan Road within the town centre area, it is integrated with the Junction 8 shopping centre and close to the Bishan Bus Interchange. Nearby schools include Raffles Institution, Catholic High School and the Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary and Secondary Schools. Initially announced as Kampung San Teng, it was renamed San Teng and subsequently Bishan. Opened on 7 November 1987, Bishan NSL station was one of the first five stations on the MRT network.
