Yi Jae-gak
Yi Jae-gak (; 4 April 1874 – 11 May 1935) was a member of the Imperial house of the Korean Empire and an official of Korean Empire. After the annexation of Korea, he was ennobled as Marquess. Biography Yi Jae-gak was born in Seoul as a member of Jeonju Yi clan. His father, Yi Sung-ung, was grandson of Crown Prince Sado. Passing the Gwageo literary exam in 1891, Yi was posted to Seungjeongwon as a Ga Juseo. On 16 November 1897, Yi was appointed as 3rd class member of the Junchuwon; on September 21 1899, Yi was ennobled as Uiyang Dojeong (義陽都正), and on 19 November 1899, Yi was ennobled as Prince Uiyang (義陽君). Being appointed as Special official of the Gungnaebu and Senior Imperial Appointee (4th grade), Yi resided in the United Kingdom from 22 June 1902 to 2 July 1902. Order Of The Golden Ruler
The Order of the Golden Ruler or the Order of the Taejo was the highest Order of chivalry in the Korean Empire. It was established on 17 April 1900 by Gojong of Korea, four years after he established the Korean Empire. History In the summer of 1899, Gojong of Korea began to consider creating orders for his newly-established empire. For inspiration, he had considered a European-style model. He formally established the order on 17 April 1900. The highest rank of the order, the Grand Cordon, was first awarded to Gojong of Korea, Sunjong of Korea, and Yi Un. Gojong named the order for a dream Taejo of Joseon claimed to have, which inspired him to establish Joseon. Sunjong Of Korea
Sunjong, the Emperor Yunghui (; 25 March 1874 – 24 April 1926), was the second and the last Emperor of Korea, of the Yi dynasty, ruling from 1907 until 1910. Biography Crown Prince of Korea Sunjong was the second son of Emperor Gojong and Empress Myeongseong. When he became two years old in 1876, Sunjong was proclaimed the Crown Prince of Joseon. In 1882, he married a daughter of the Yeoheung Min clan, who later became Empress Sunmyeonghyo (). She later died at the age of 31 on 5 November 1904 due to the severe depression, after trying to protect her mother-in-law (Empress Myeongseong, also a member of the Yeoheung Min clan) from her assassination on 8 October 1895 by the Japanese military. Yoon Taek-young (Korean:윤택영, Chinese:尹澤榮, 1876-24 October 1935) was an official of Joseon and Korean Empire. He was father of Empress Sunjeonghyo and father in law of Sunjong of Korea. Biography Yoon Taek-young was born in 1876 in Seoul. He was a member of Yoon was educated in his home. On 1 March 1899, Yoon was appointed as one of the officials in the section of Crown Prince education. On 15 June 1900, Yoon was appointed as member of Junchuwon. Order Of The Auspicious Stars
The Order of the Auspicious Stars was the second highest order of chivalry of the Korean Empire. It was established in 1900 with other orders by Gojong of Korea, Emperor Gojong, as part of reforms of the Korean Empire.
