''Yes Sir'' is a 2019 Maldivian comedy web series directed by Ali Seezan. The series stars Mohamed Manik, Aminath Nishfa, Irufana Ibrahim, Ismail Jumaih and Mohamed Nawaal as police officers, and Nuzuhath Shuaib, Ali Azim, Zeenath Abbas and Mohamed Faisal as various characters. Ali Seezan
Ali Seezan (born 6 February 1977) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, director and producer. He has established a career in Maldives Film Industry and is a recipient of two National Film Awards. Early life Ali Seezan was born on 6 February 1977. His parents Fathimath Waheeda and Abdul Rasheed are not active members of the film industry, though his father has worked in arranging stage shows for many events. He completed his studies at Madhrasathul Ameer Ahmed and Majeediyya School. He is a nephew of Maldivian actor and politician Reeko Moosa Manik. Mohamed Manik (15 October 1969) is a Maldivian film actor and director. Nuzuhath Shuaib (born 14 September 1988) is a Maldivian film actress. Early life Nuzuhath Shuaib was born on 14 September 1988 in N. Manadhoo. She was working at Jelly Pizza when her friend, a film actor Ali Azim introduced her to the team of ''Malikaa''. Impressed with the brief meeting, she was roped in to play the title character in the film. Ali Azim
Ali Azim is a Maldivian film actor. Career 2010–2016: Early releases Azim expressed his interest in acting at a very young age. Before he pursued a career in acting Azim worked as a dancer and stage performer. He was first recognized by the audience for his facial expressions while dancing. While working in the Animation Dance Group, the team made a short children's film ''Lollypop'' with "no serious intention but for entertainment". Irufana Ibrahim is a Maldivian film actress. Career Ibrahim made her acting debut in a recurring role in the first Maldivian web-series, a romantic drama by Fathimath Nahula, ''Huvaa'' which initiated streaming in November 2018. The series consisting of sixty episodes and streamed through the digital platform Baiskoafu, centers around a happy and radiant family which breaks into despairing pieces after a tragic incident that led to an unaccountable loss. Ismail Jumaih
Ismail Jumaih is a Maldivian actor, choreographer and makeup artist. Career In 2016, Jumaih made his film debut in Hussain Munawwar's ''Neyngi Yaaru Vakivee'' alongside Aminath Rishfa and Ahmed Azmeel. Critics gave the film bad reviews and considered his performance as Sham, to be "boring" while criticising the character development. However, Ahmed Jaishan of ''Vaguthu'', found Jumaih's acting to be "natural and impressive" considering his debut role and picked him as the "biggest highlight" from the "disappointing" film. Despite the negative reviews, the film did average business at the end of its run.
