Yellow (1998 Film)
''Yellow'' is a 1997 comedy drama film directed by Chris Chan Lee. The film follows eight Korean–American youths in Los Angeles over the course of a wild night before their high school graduation. The film stars an ensemble cast including Michael Chung, John Cho, Burt Bulos, Jason Tobin, and Lela Lee. The film had its world premiere at the 15th CAAMFest (San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival) in San Francisco in 1997. ''Yellow'' was invited to screen at a variety of film festivals, including the Los Angeles Film Festival, the Singapore International Film Festival and the Slamdance Film Festival. Chris Chan Lee (born in San Francisco, California) is an American filmmaker. After graduating from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, Lee wrote/directed ''Yellow (1998 film), Yellow,'' an independently financed feature film about the harrowing grad night of eight Korean-American teens in Los Angeles that culminates in a violent crime that will forever change their lives. Seattle Asian American Film Festival
The Seattle Asian American Film Festival was founded in 1985 and has been revived over the years by different producers. The current iteration was founded in 2012 and made its debut in 2013 by co-founders Kevin Bang and Vanessa Au. It is a revival of (and a return to the events original name) of the previously running Northwest Asian American Film Festival, which was directed by Wes Kim from 2003 to 2007 and which had experienced a five-year hiatus. The LA Film Festival was an annual film festival that was held in Los Angeles, California, and usually took place in June. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock".
