Xybots
''Xybots'' is a 1987 in video gaming, 1987 third-person shooter arcade game by Atari Games. In ''Xybots'', up to two players control "Major Rock Hardy" and "Captain Ace Gunn", who must travel through a 3D maze and fight against a series of robots known as the Xybots whose mission is to destroy all mankind. The game features a split screen display showing the gameplay on the bottom half of the screen and information on player status and the current level on the top half. Designed by Ed Logg, it was originally conceived as a sequel to his previous title, ''Gauntlet (1985 video game), Gauntlet''. The game was well received, with reviewers lauding the game's various features, particularly the cooperative multiplayer aspect. Atari Games Corporation, known as Midway Games West Inc. after 1999, was an American producer of Arcade game, arcade Video game, games. ''Midway Arcade Treasures 2'' is the second collection of classic arcade games published by Midway Games for the PlayStation 2, Xbox (not compatible with Xbox 360), and GameCube. This compilation includes 20 games that were not in the 2003 release of ''Midway Arcade Treasures''. Unlike the previous game, it was rated M for Mature instead of T for Teen by the ESRB. The game plays similar on all three consoles, though the Xbox version has the exclusive ability to upload scores to an online scoreboard. Ed Logg
George Edward "Ed" Logg (born 1948 in Seattle) is a retired American arcade video game designer, first employed at Atari, Inc. and later at Atari Games. He currently resides in Los Altos, California. Career Logg was impressed with the Atari 2600 (then known as "Atari Video Computer System") and joined Atari's coin-op division and worked on ''Dirt Bike'', which was never released due to an unsuccessful field test. He co-developed with Ed Rotberg ''Super Breakout'' after hearing that Nolan Bushnell, co-founder of Atari, wanted '' Breakout'' updated. He co- developed the video game ''Asteroids'' with Lyle Rains. ''Major Havoc'' (or ''The Adventures of Major Havoc'') is an arcade action game released by Atari, Inc. in 1983. A vector-based upright arcade cabinet, ''Major Havoc'' consists of several smaller game experiences played in succession, including a fixed shooter, platform game, and a lunar lander sequence.
