Xu Shousheng
Xu Shousheng (; 23 January 1953 – 5 December 2020) was a Chinese politician. He was the Communist Party Secretary of Hunan from 2013 to 2016. He served as the Governor of Hunan and Gansu provinces. Biography Xu was born in Rudong County, Jiangsu. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in October 1973, and is an alumnus of Southeast University, though it is not clear when he graduated. He began working for the party in the grassroots, first as a commune leader, then head of the revolutionary committee of his home township, then deputy governor of his home county. In October 1985, he became county governor of Rudong, then in 1990 was elevated to party chief. In December 1991 he became mayor of Lianyungang, and in July 1996, became party chief of Suqian, the first person to hold this position after Suqian was established as a prefecture-level city. Provincial Party Standing Committee
Members of the standing committees of the Chinese Communist Party provincial-level committees, commonly referred to as ''Shengwei Changwei'' (), make up the top ranks of the provincial-level organizations of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In theory, the Standing Committee of a Party Committee manage the day-to-day party affairs of a provincial party organization, and are selected from the members of the provincial-level Party Committee at large. Lianyungang
Lianyungang () is a prefecture-level city in northeastern Jiangsu province, China. It borders Yancheng to its southeast, Huai'an and Suqian to its south, Xuzhou to its southwest, and the province of Shandong to its north. Its name derives from Lian Island, the largest island in Jiangsu which lies off its coastline, and Yuntai Mountain, the highest peak in Jiangsu, a few miles from the city center, and the fact that it is a port. The name can be literally translated as the Port Connecting the Clouds. Lianyungang was home to 4,599,360 inhabitants as of the 2020 census whom 1,210,767 lived in the built-up (''or metro'') area made of Haizhou and Lianyun counties. Wang Anshun
Wang Anshun (; born December 1957) is a Chinese politician who served as Mayor of Beijing between 2012 and 2016, the 15th person to hold the office under Communist Party rule. Wang began his career in geological exploration, then made the transition into politics, serving in Gansu, Shanghai, and Beijing through his career. Early life and education Wang was born in Huixian, Henan Province, in 1957. He attended the Wuhan College of Geology. Wang also obtained a master's degree in economics from Nankai University. Qiu He
Qiu He (; born January 1957) is a former Chinese politician who spent his career in Jiangsu and Yunnan provinces. He most recently held the post of the Deputy Communist Party Secretary of Yunnan. He was investigated by the Chinese Communist Party's anti-graft agency in March 2015. Qiu He was a member of the 12th National People's Congress and an alternate member of the 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.
