Xu Lejiang
Xu Lejiang (; born April 1959) is a Chinese politician and former state-owned company executive. For nearly ten years, between 2007 and 2016, Xu was the chairman of Baosteel Group. He is currently serving as deputy head of the United Front Work Department and the party secretary and executive vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (minister-level). Education Xu was born in Xintai, Shandong. He joined the Communist Party of China in June 1976. In 1982, Xu graduated from the Jiangxi Institute of Metallurgy, now known as Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, and majored in Metallurgy Machinery. In 2000, Xu received his MBA from a joint program between Fudan University and The University of Hong Kong. China Baowu Steel Group Corp., Ltd., commonly known as Baowu, is a state-owned iron and steel company headquartered in the Baosteel Tower in Pudong, Shanghai, China. The company was formed by Baosteel Group absorbing its smaller state-owned peer, Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation in 2016. It is the world's largest steel producer. The 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party was elected by the 18th National Congress on 15 November 2012, and sat in plenary sessions until the communing of the 19th National Congress in 2017. It was formally proceeded by the 17th Central Committee. The committee is composed of full members and alternate members. A member has voting rights, while an alternate does not. If a full member is removed from the CC the vacancy is then filled by an alternate member at the next committee plenum — the alternate member who received the most confirmation votes in favour is highest on the order of precedence.
