Xpress Motorsports
Xpress Motorsports was a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team. The team won the Truck Series championship in 2002 and 2003 with Mike Bliss and Travis Kvapil, respectively. The team was owned by Steve Coulter until 2004, when he sold the team to then team manager Dave Fuge, who owned the team until 2007 when the team was sold to J. B. Scott. In late 2009 the team was again sold to Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Busch. Beginnings Xpress was formed in 1996, when Coulter founded the team to promote his company, IWX Motor Freight. Randy Tolsma was hired to drive the No. 61 Chevrolet Silverado at Phoenix, and finished 29th after an early crash. Tolsma was named the team's full-time driver in 1997, but only qualified for one-third of the first nine races of the season. Dave Fuge was hired as Crew Chief to rebuild the team and they rebounded to capture his first career win at Mesa Marin Raceway. 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
The 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series was the fifteenth season of the Camping World Truck Series, the third highest stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in the United States. It was contested over twenty-five races, beginning with the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway and ending with the Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The season was the first under the Camping World sponsorship banner. Camping World, announced on October 23, 2008, that they would sponsor the series for the next seven seasons. Blake Bainridge
Blake is a surname which originated from Old English. Its derivation is uncertain; it could come from "blac", a nickname for someone who had dark hair or skin, or from "blaac", a nickname for someone with pale hair or skin. Stan Boyd
Stan Boyd (born September 16, 1970) is an American former professional stock car racing driver who competed in both the Busch Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Truck Series Stan Boyd made his NASCAR debut in the 1998 Memphis race driving for EVI Motorsports, starting 35th and finishing 29th after ignition failure late in the race. He ran at Mesa Marin for Steve Coulter later in the year, dropping out after just 2 laps due to engine failure. Boyd then ran four races in 1999 for EVI Motorsports with a best finish of 22nd at Gateway. In 2000 Boyd ran two races for John Conely, finishing a solid 19th at Mesa Marin. He returned to EVI for 3 races later on with less luck. He ran a full season with EVI in 2001, making just 10 of the 25 races, but earning three top 20 finishes including a career-best 13th at California. Mesa Marin Raceway
Mesa Marin Raceway was a paved oval race track, located near the junction of CA 178 and CA 184 (Kern Canyon Road), east of Bakersfield, California. It opened in 1977 and was owned by Marion Collins throughout its existence. The Collins family helped start the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (then-Craftsman SuperTruck Series) in 1995, and hosted nine races in that series at the track between 1995 and 2003. Mesa Marin also hosted 45 races for the Winston West Series and for NASCAR's Southwest Tour. The last race was held at Mesa Marin on October 16, 2005, as the track was sold for a housing development to be constructed on the site. Many of Mesa Marin's events were broadcast on television, including the 1995 Craftsman Truck Series race on ABC's '' Wide World of Sports'' and the NCTS on The Nashville Network and later ESPN. ISM Raceway
Phoenix Raceway is a 1-mile, low-banked tri-oval race track located in Avondale, Arizona, near Phoenix, Arizona, Phoenix. The motorsport track opened in 1964 and currently hosts two NASCAR race weekends annually including the final championship race since 2020. Phoenix Raceway has also hosted the Champ Car, CART, IndyCar Series, United States Auto Club, USAC and the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The raceway is currently owned and operated by NASCAR.
