Xerém
Xerém () is a neighborhood of Xerém District in the municipality of Duque de Caxias in the state of Rio de Janeiro, about 50 km from the city of Rio de Janeiro. Xerém lies on the slopes of the Serra Fluminense, near Petrópolis. Within its boundaries are a bus factory (Ciferal Marcopolo), the training camp of Fluminense Football Club, the headquarters of Duque de Caxias FC and the football team Tigres do Brasil. Xerém is known for having an important government agency in Brazil, INMETRO. Tourism is a significant factor of the local economy; tourists are drawn by the lush and placid scenery, the nearby waterfalls, and historical sites. Every year Xerém host ''Vaquejada Park Ana Dantas''. Duque De Caxias, Rio De Janeiro
Duque de Caxias (, ''Duke of Caxias'') is a city on Guanabara Bay and part of Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area, southeastern Brazil. It is bordered by Rio de Janeiro city to the south. Its population was 924,624 (2020) and its area is 465 km2, making it the second most populous suburb of Rio de Janeiro city. The city is the third most populous in Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Area, and also the third most populous city in Rio de Janeiro state. The current mayor is Washington Reis. It is named after Luís Alves de Lima e Silva, Duke of Caxias, who was born there in 1803. The city is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Duque de Caxias. Its important industries are chemicals and oil refining. Duque de Caxias Futebol Clube is the local football team of the city. Duque de Caxias Futebol Clube, usually known simply as Duque de Caxias, is a Brazilian football team from the city of Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro state. It currently plays in the Campeonato Carioca Série B1, the second tier of the Rio de Janeiro state league. The club was founded on March 8, 2005. History Tamoio Futebol Clube was founded on February 22, 1957, in Xerém, a district of Duque de Caxias, by local sportsmen. On March 8, 2005, the mayor of Duque de Caxias, Washington Reis, refounded Tamoio Futebol Clube as Duque de Caxias Futebol Clube, with the purpose of increasing the club's visibility.
