Xavier Rathan-Mayes
Xavier Rathan-Mayes (born April 29, 1994) is a Canadian professional basketball player for Melbourne United of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the Florida State Seminoles. High school career Born in Markham, Ontario, he started playing high school basketball at Christian Faith Center Academy in North Carolina. However, the NCAA was declining to accept credits received from the school, prompting him to transfer to Huntington Prep School in West Virginia. At Huntington Prep School, he played with current NBA player Andrew Wiggins, and he was considered a top 30 player in his class. College career Rathan-Mayes played three years of college basketball for the Florida State Seminoles between 2014 and 2017. Melbourne United is an Australian professional basketball team based in Melbourne, Victoria. United compete in the National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at John Cain Arena. The team made their debut in the NBL in 1984 as the Melbourne Tigers, as an extension of the Melbourne Basketball Association (MBA). The franchise entered into private ownership in 2002, ending the team's relation with the MBA. 2017 NBA Summer League
The 2017 NBA Summer League consisted of three pro basketball leagues organized by the National Basketball Association (NBA): the Orlando Pro Summer League, Utah Jazz Summer League, and Las Vegas Summer League. Eight teams participated in the week-long Orlando Pro Summer League at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, from July 1 to 6, 2017.
