Xavier Cooks
Xavier Cooks (born 19 August 1995) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the Winthrop Eagles, where he was named the 2018 Big South Conference Player of the Year. In 2022, he helped the Sydney Kings win the NBL championship while earning Grand Final MVP honours. Early life Cooks was born in Ballarat, Victoria to father Eric and mother Josie. His father is an African-American expatriate who became a naturalised citizen of Australia, and his mother is Australian. He was raised alongside siblings Georgia and Dominique, the latter of which formerly played professional basketball for the Illawarra Hawks. His father played college basketball for St. Mary's College in California before relocating to Australia to pursue a professional career in the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) and National Basketball League. The power forward (PF), also known as the four or strong forward, is a position in basketball. Power forwards play a role similar to centers. When on offense, they typically play with their backs towards the basket. Hartford Hawks Men's Basketball
The Hartford Hawks men's basketball team is the basketball team that represents University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut. The school's team currently competes as an Independent. In 2008, Hartford made the America East tournament championship game falling to UMBC 65–82. In 2021, they defeated UMass Lowell, 64–50, to make their first NCAA Division I Tournament.
