Xandria Albums
Xandria is a German symphonic metal band founded by Marco Heubaum in 1994. Originally a project, Heubaum later restarted the project as a band in 1999, and has gone through various lineup changes. The German vocalist Lisa Middelhauve joined for the debut album, co-writing both music and lyrics for the band until her departure in 2008. Middelhauve reunited briefly with the band in 2010 following the departure of the band's second vocalist Kerstin Bischof, but left again shortly after. Manuela Kraller joined the band as the new vocalist in 2010. The band released ''Neverworld's End'' in 2012, which was the only album to feature Kraller as she would depart in 2013. Dianne van Giersbergen was later announced as her replacement, and would record two studio albums with Xandria: ''Sacrificium (Xandria album), Sacrificium'' and ''Theater of Dimensions''. Wave-Gotik-Treffen
The Wave-Gotik-Treffen (WGT; ) is an annual world festival for "dark" music and "dark culture" in Leipzig, Germany. 150+ bands and artists from various backgrounds (gothic rock, gothic metal, EBM, industrial, noise, darkwave, neo-folk, neo-classical, medieval, experimental, deathrock and punk music being examples) play at several venues throughout the city over four days on Whitsuntide. The festival also features multiple all-night dance club parties, several fairs with medieval, gothic, and related merchandise, a variety of cultural exhibitions and performances, large themed picnics, and a number of unofficial fringe events. Subway To Sally
Subway to Sally is a German folk metal band founded in Potsdam in the early 1990s. Their music has clear folk and medieval influences, later also adding gothic and metal elements. With their continuous inclusion of oriental sounds and elements of classical music and the use of instruments seldom seen in metal bands such as bagpipes, shawm, violin, hurdy-gurdy and lute, Subway to Sally has acquired the label of medieval metal. The band has released 12 studio albums, two live albums, and two live DVDs. Aeva Maurelle
Aeva Maurelle is a German metal singer, best known for being the former co-lead vocalist of the alternative metal band , and the session singer of the symphonic metal band Xandria from 2017 to 2019. Musical career In 2013, after she tried her luck with another band and that didn't work out, she was invited to join Aeverium and they started recording their EP ''The Harvest''. Later on, their debut album ''Break Out'' was released in 2015, with follow-up ''Time'' being released in early 2017. During the European tour with Aeverium and Kamelot in 2016, Aeva was invited to perform on stage. Once Human is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, founded in 2014 by music producer and former Machine Head/Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader. Kobra and the Lotus (also initialized as KATL) is a Canadian heavy metal band formed in 2009 by lead vocalist and songwriter Kobra Paige. ''Fire & Ashes'' is an EP album by the German symphonic metal band Xandria. This is the band's second release with vocalist Dianne van Giersbergen. The EP features three new tracks, two rerecorded and remastered tracks, and two cover songs. The EP is produced by Joost van den Broek and contains cover art by Felipe Machado Franco and guest vocals by Valerio Recenti, the Italian singer of the Dutch alternative metal band My Propane. The composition "In Remembrance" is a tribute to classical Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi as it is based on the aria "Morrò, ma prima in grazia" from his opera ''Un Ballo in Maschera''. Ex Libris (Latin for from the books) is a Dutch symphonic/progressive metal band founded in 2004 by Dianne van Giersbergen and Joost van de Pas. History Formation (2003) Ex Libris formed in 2003 in the Netherlands. Operatic soprano Dianne van Giersbergen leads the band. Manuela Kraller
Manuela Kraller (born 1 August 1981) is a German soprano singer. She is best known as the former lead singer of symphonic metal band Xandria from late 2010 until late 2013. She was formerly one of the soprano vocalists in the symphonic metal band Haggard. She now has a project that strays away from the metal scene and more of a classical style instead that's called "Valkea Valo" with her friend Tobias Gut. Musical career Manuela began her musical life in 2005 at the age of 23 while singing in a Finnish choir group, and discovered her new passion was singing. She began to take classical singing lessons and sang in more church and gospel choirs, and was soon asked to become a solo singer. Axxis is a German heavy metal band that was founded in 1988. Their debut album, ''Kingdom of the Night'', became the best-selling debut album by a hard rock band in Germany in 1989. Biography Axxis' musical roots lie within the traditional hard rock of the 1970s and 1980s, including influences of 1990s electronic music. The band was formed in early 1980s, with the name Anvil. They released several self-recorded demos under that name, before discovering the Canadian band Anvil who had already released an album internationally.
