X Movement (''Movimento X'', MX), later Project For – X Movement (''Progetto Per - Movimento X''), is a populism, populist List of political parties in Italy, political party in Italy founded in 2014 by some senators expelled from the Five Star Movement. The leader of the party is the former Senator Laura Bignami, while the national spokesperson is Giampaolo Sablich, her husband and former city councilor of Busto Arsizio. The party is inspired by the Spanish Podemos (Spanish political party), Podemos party. MX was launched in July 2014 by four senators who had left (or had been expelled from) the Five Star Movement (M5S), a populist party which had come first in the 2013 Italian general election, 2013 general election, over disagreements with Beppe Grillo's and Gianroberto Casaleggio's leadership, but did not want to team up with the already-existent Italy Work in Progress. Gianroberto Casaleggio
Gianroberto Casaleggio (; 14 August 1954 – 12 April 2016) was an Italian entrepreneur and political activist, born in Milan. He was co-founder and chairman of Casaleggio Associati srl, an internet and publishing company that advises on network strategies. He was editor of Beppe Grillo's blog, and together they founded the Five Star Movement, of which Casaleggio was sometimes called the "guru". In the Italian context, Casaleggio promoted the Web as a medium for political communication. Biography Casaleggio began his career working at Olivetti, then, in the late 1990s, became CEO at Webegg, an internet consulting company. Webegg suffered heavy losses (over €20 million) in the period 2002–2003, and Casaleggio was replaced as CEO in 2003 by Giuseppe Longo.
