X Factor (German TV Series)
''X Factor'' is the German version of '' The X Factor'', a show originating from the United Kingdom. It is a television music talent show contested by aspiring pop singers drawn from public auditions. The show's inaugural German season started in August 2010. RTL broadcast the first two kick-off shows. The other episodes have been shown on VOX. Both channels are part of Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland. The seasons 1-3 of X Factor were produced by Grundy Light Entertainment, another RTL Group company. Season 4 is produced by UFA Show & Factual by Sky. The auditions for the first season were held in April 2010. The show started on 20 August 2010 and ended on 9 November 2010 with Edita Abdieski being crowned the winner. X Factor (Germany Season 2)
The second Season of X Factor started on 30 August 2011. The auditions were held in April/May 2011. The show was broadcast every Tuesday and Sunday (only the Auditions and the Superbootcamp). The Judges were Sarah Connor, Das Bo and Till Brönner . There were four phases: #Auditions #Bootcamp #Judge's House #Live Shows This year twelve acts had been a part of the live shows, and not nine. Furthermore, from the first to sixth live show the judges decided which act had to leave the X Factor. In the final were three acts. Selection process Applications and auditions The first appeal for applicants for series 2 was broadcast during series 1 on 9 November 2010. Moses Pelham
Moses Pelham (born 24 February 1971 in Frankfurt) is a German rapper, singer and producer. In 1993, together with Thomas Hofmann in Frankfurt, he started the Rödelheim Hartreim Projekt. Pelham is a member of the German band Glashaus. In 2019, in a lawsuit against the German band Kraftwerk, Pelham lost a groundbreaking in the European Court of Justice for unauthorised sampling. The ruling means that samples which are recognisable infringe copyright law where no permission has been sought from the rightsholder. However, there is no infringement if the sample is unrecognisable. The case was referred back to the German court who gave the final decision. The German court decided that the sample was recognisable, and therefore ultimately, Pelham lost his 20 year legal saga. David Pfeffer, who is also a police officer in Duisburg, Germany, released his debut album ''I Mind'' on 9 December 2011, which entered the German charts at No.20. Edita Abdieski (born November 14, 1984) is a Swiss pop singer. She rose to fame during the debut series of the German ''X Factor'' show, which she won in November 2010. Early life Abdieski is the eldest child born to a Macedonian Albanian father and a Montenegrin Albanian mother. Raised in Bern alongside three younger siblings, she spent much of her childhood in the Bern borough of Bümpliz-Oberbottigen, where she was enrolled at primary and secondary school. Her father died of cancer in 1992. At eleven, Abdieski became part of her first school band and by the age of thirteen, she began writing songs.
