The Reason (EP)
''The Reason'' is the second major-label EP (and third overall) by American rock band X Ambassadors, released on January 27, 2014. It spawned the single Jungle. This EP also includes track Unsteady. Composition Musically, ''The Reason'' has been described as an album with elements of trap music and indie pop, with "a country vibe to it". X Ambassadors member Sam Harris cited rock singer Bruce Springsteen as a big influence on the album. In an interview with ''The Emory Wheel'', the band commented on their inspirations: "We've always tried to write songs for anyone who feels marginalized, underrepresented: eoplewho feel like they're different or are unable to speak up for themselves. A lot of the songs off of '' VHS'' and our previous EP, ''The Reason'', were written with that in mind." According to Craig D. Lindsey of ''The News & Observer'', the running theme through the EP is Sam Harris' struggling with self-doubt. On January 30, 2014, X Ambassadors posted a message on the ...

Allmusic
AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. History AllMusic was launched as ''All Music Guide'' by Michael Erlewine, a "compulsive archivist, noted astrologer, Buddhist scholar and musician". He became interested in using computers for his astrological work in the mid-1970s and founded a software company, Matrix, in 1977. In the early 1990s, as CDs replaced LPs as the dominant format for recorded music, Erlewine purchased what he thought was a CD of early recordings by Little Richard. After buying it he discovered it was a "flaccid latter-day rehash". Frustrated with the labeling, he researched using metadata to create a music guide. In 1990, in Big Rapids, Michigan, he founded ''All Music Guide' ...

A new chart is compiled and officially released to the public by the Irish Recorded Music Association on Friday at noon. Each chart is dated with the "week-ending" date of the previous Thursday (i.e., the day before issue). The singles chart was first published on 1 October 1962, and covered the top ten singles of the previous week by record label shipments. Townie (album)
''Townie'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band X Ambassadors. It was released on April 5, 2024 by Virgin Records, following their third studio album ''The Beautiful Liar'' (2021). The album revolves around band members Sam and Casey Harris' childhood living in Ithaca, New York. All three band members wrote and composed the tracks virtually, starting with what they had before the lockdown and expanding upon it. It expresses themes of insanity, powerlessness, self-doubt, and anxiety. Lead singer Sam and keyboardist Casey Harris say the album was influenced by the radio shows they would listen to as children instead of TV because of Casey's blindness. Sam said "I wanted to make an album that felt as unhinged as I did, and as the whole world felt around me. S ...
