XVIII (album)
''XVIII'' (18 in Roman numerals) is the sixth studio album by Eighteen Visions. It was released on June 2, 2017. It is the band's first album in 11 years, following its breakup in 2007. It is also the band's first release on Rise Records. According to Metal Insider, the album sold 3,525 units in its first week and is the band's highest-charting effort to date. The album peaked at number 49 on the Billboard Top Current Albums chart. In a 2017 interview with ''LouderSound'', James Hart stated that ''XVIII'' was the record he wanted to be remembered for, adding that the record really spoke for who the band is and who they always have been, and encompassed the sound that the band liked the most from each of its prior albums. Eighteen Visions is an American metalcore band from Orange County, California, formed in October 1995. The band broke up in April 2007, less than a year after their major label debut was released through Epic and Trustkill Records. After over a decade of absence, the band reformed in 2017. They announced their sixth album, '' XVIII'', would be released via their new label home at Rise Records. History Beginnings (1995–2000) Eighteen Visions was founded in October 1995 by James Hart, Dave Peters, Billy Sisler, and Kenneth Floyd under the name "Macabre". The band wrote a bit of material and started to play shows, beginning at the "Koo's Cafe" in early 1996, in their local area. Soon after, Excessive Force's Jeff Boullt was added to the mix as a second guitarist, and in March, Sisler left the group and was replaced by Richie Taylor. They Live
''They Live'' is a 1988 American science fiction action horror film written and directed by John Carpenter, based on the 1963 short story "Eight O'Clock in the Morning" by Ray Nelson. Starring Roddy Piper, Keith David, and Meg Foster, the film follows an unnamed drifter who discovers through special sunglasses that the ruling class are aliens concealing their appearance and manipulating people to consume, breed, and conform to the status quo via subliminal messages in mass media. John Carpenter
John Howard Carpenter (born January 16, 1948) is an American filmmaker, actor, and composer. Every Time I Die was an American metalcore band from Buffalo, New York, formed in 1998. Casey Jones was a straight edge hardcore punk band from Jacksonville, Florida. The band consisted of members from Evergreen Terrace and Anchors Away and was signed to Eulogy Records. They released three albums and a split 7-inch History Casey Jones formed in early 2003 as a side project of Evergreen Terrace. The band's name is taken from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character Casey Jones. The band was originally started by Josh James of Evergreen Terrace, his brother Caleb, and Josh Smith (former member of Evergreen Terrace). Evergreen Terrace is a five-piece American metalcore band from Jacksonville, Florida. Formed in 1999, they are named after the street inhabited by the Simpsons. The band's sixth and latest studio album ''Dead Horses'' was released on December 10, 2013, via Rise Records. Stick to Your Guns is an American hardcore punk band from Orange County, California. Members of the band include Jesse Barnett (vocals), Andrew Rose (bass), George Schmitz (drums), Chris Rawson and Josh James (guitars). They are currently signed with Pure Noise Records. Mick Richard Morris (March 9, 1978 – June 3, 2013) better known as MickDeth, was an American bassist and guitarist. He was a part of the bands Eighteen Visions, Clear, and the Misfits cover band Die Die My Darling. Biography He was raised in Utah, along with his three sisters and brother, by his grandparents. At an early age, he adopted the straight edge lifestyle, having grown up in an environment where drugs were very prominent in his life and family. With such things surrounding his world, Morris decided that he did not want a part of it, ever.
