XHXV-FM
XHXV-FM 88.9/XEXV-AM 1300 is a combo radio station based in León, Guanajuato, with FM transmitter in León, AM transmitter in Arroyo Seco, and listed location of Tierra Blanca. It is owned by Grupo Radiorama. History XEXV received its concession on May 12, 1972. It was owned by Jaime Robledo Romero, who would later become Engineering Director of the Cámara Nacional de la Industria de Radio y Televisión (CIRT). The original station concession specified a location in San Francisco del Rincón. By the 1990s, it was an AM-FM combo owned by Fomento Radiofónico del Centro, which sold the station to Radiodifusoras Capital in 2006. In 2008, Capital sold XEXV/XHXV to Grupo Radiodigital Siglo XXI, a predecessor to Grupo Radio México. In January 2022, ended its owned by Grupo Radio Centro, eliminating grupera as La Z, Radiorama took over XEXV/XHXV. In September 2022, XHXV scrapped the La Nueva format. Grupo Radio Centro is a Mexico City-based owner and operator of radio stations. It owns 30 radio stations in Mexico and the United States, including 8 radio stations in Mexico City. History Radio Centro's origins date to 1946, when Francisco Aguirre Jiménez formed the Cadena Radio Continental to operate XEQR-AM 1030 and new station XERC-AM 790 in Mexico City. Organización Radio Centro was formed in 1952, and the current company was founded in 1971. In 1965, it founded OIR (Organización Impulsora de la Radio), which syndicates Radio Centro's formats to stations across Mexico. Its non-Mexico City business extended further in the 1980s, when Radio Centro began selling its formats outside the United States (in 1983) and created Cadena Radio Centro (in 1986) to manage this portion of its operations. Tierra Blanca, Guanajuato
Tierra Blanca is a Mexican city (and municipality) located in the Northeast region of the state of Guanajuato. The municipality has an area of 391.65 square kilometres (1.09% of the surface of the state) and is bordered to the north by Santa Catarina, to the south and the east to the state of Querétaro, to the west by San José Iturbide and to the northwest by Doctor Mora. Grupo Radiorama is the largest owner and operator of radio stations in Mexico. Founded in 1970, the company operated nearly 400 radio stations in 2014. History Radiorama was founded on December 9, 1970, by Javier Pérez de Anda and Adrián Pereda López. The two founders had previous experience at other radio groups, such as Organización Radio Centro and Radiópolis. Radiorama started with 7 stations, but grew to 150 by 1985. San Francisco del Rincón is a city and municipality in the western part of the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. The city serves as the municipal seat for the municipality of San Francisco del Rincón. The city lies at the extreme northwest corner of the municipality. The settlement was founded as San Francisco del Tule on January 21, 1607 by a group of families of the Purépecha and Hñähñu ( Otomi) ethnicities.
