XHWS-FM
XHWS-FM is a radio station on 102.5 FM in Culiacán, Sinaloa. It is owned by Grupo RSN and carries the La Bestia Grupera grupera format. History XEWS-AM received its concession on November 15, 1957. It was owned by Modesto Roberto Pérez and broadcast on 1010 kHz with 5,000 watts day and 250 night. Humaya, S.A. acquired XEWS in the 1960s. By 2000, Grupo ACIR owned XEWS, but ACIR sold it and other stations to Radiorama. In December 2016, XHWS and sister station XHENZ-FM 92.9 were separated from Radiorama and flipped to MegaRadio formats, marking MegaRadio's second expansion in Sinaloa in just months after it had previously entered Mazatlán. As a result, XHWS changed from Los 40 to Switch FM, keeping a pop format, but this lasted just eight months until the Audiorama La Bestia Grupera format was instituted. XHENZ-FM is a radio station on 92.9 FM in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico. It carries the Los 40 pop format. History XENZ-AM 570 received its concession on April 10, 1958. It was owned by Radio Impulsora de Culiacán, S.A., broadcasting with 1,000 watts day and 250 night. It was acquired by the current concessionaire in 1984. The 1990s saw XENZ move to 890 kHz with 10,000 watts during the day. XENZ migrated to FM in 2010 as XHENZ-FM 92.9. Grupo ACIR is a Mexican media company specializing in the operation of radio stations. It was established in 1965. ACIR is an acronym for ''Asociación de Concesionarios Independientes de Radio'' (Association of Independent Radio Concessionaires). History Grupo ACIR was founded on June 8, 1965, when Francisco Ibarra bought the XEDQ-AM (Radio Alegría) station in San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz.
