XHVT-FM
XHVT-FM is a radio station on 104.1 FM in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico, known as XEVT (its former AM call sign). History XEVT-AM 970 began testing on August 7, 1954, making it the first radio station in Tabasco. It was owned by Aquiles Calderón Marchenas and authorized to broadcast with 5,000 watts during the day and 400 at night. It conducted tests throughout August and early September. Villahermosa ( , ; "Beautiful Village") is the capital and largest city of the Mexican state of Tabasco, and serves as the Municipalities of Mexico, municipal seat (governing county) of the state. Manuel Bartlett Bautista
Manuel Bartlett Bautista (December 23, 1894 in Tenosique, Tabasco – April 24, 1963 in Mexico City) was a Mexican journalist, lawyer, judge, and politician who served as Governor of the State of Tabasco for two years, before being pressured to resign. Biography Manuel Bartlett Bautista was born in Tenosique to Gabriel Bartlett Cámara, a businessman of partial Cornish descent, and Teodora Bautista Pérez. He completed his primary studies in Tenosique and his secondary studies there and at the Mexican Methodist Institute of Puebla. From 1909 to 1915 he lived in Villahermosa, then known as San Juan Bautista de la Villa Hermosa, studying at the Instituto Juárez while also agitating through revolutionary circles. In 1913 Bartlett helped found and became President of the Juárez Institute's Free Student Association, but ended up being expelled from the school after leading a protest against Huerta's assassination of President Madero. XHMVS-FM is a radio station in Mexico City. Broadcasting on 102.5 FM from a tower on Cerro del Chiquihuite, XHMVS-FM is owned by MVS Comunicaciones and is a news-talk station under the name MVS Noticias. History In 1964, a concession was awarded to Ruben Marin y Kall for a new radio station on 102.5 FM in Mexico City, under the callsign XHV-FM. The station took to the air in 1967, and the next year it was sold to Joaquín Vargas Gómez, founder of MVS, who increased its power from 1 to 54 kW. During this time, the station was an English-language music outlet under the name Stereorey, a name still evident in the name of the concessionaire for almost all of MVS's owned-and-operated radio stations in Mexico. The Stereorey format was available nationwide on a network of stations mostly owned by MVS.
