XHLZ-FM (Coahuila)
XHLZ-FM is a radio station in Torreón, Coahuila. Broadcasting on 103.5 FM, XHLZ is owned by Capital Media and operated by Grupo Región, broadcasting a Regional Mexican format under the name Región 103.5 FM. History The concession for XELZ-AM 710 was awarded in 1989, with the station gaining an FM counterpart in 1994. It was initially owned by Radiorama Radiorama were an Italian Italo disco band formed in 1984 by Simona Zanini and Aldo Martinelli. They were later joined by Mauro Farina and Giuliano Crivellente. Grupo Radiorama is the largest owner and operator of radio stations in Mexico. Founded in 1970, the company operated nearly 400 radio stations in 2014. History Radiorama was founded on December 9, 1970, by Javier Pérez de Anda and Adrián Pereda López. The two founders had previous experience at other radio groups, such as Organización Radio Centro and Radiópolis. Radiorama started with 7 stations, but grew to 150 by 1985. Grupo Radio México was a Mexican owner of radio stations that operated from 1973 to 2015. In 2015, it was absorbed into Grupo Radio Centro, which owns most of GRM's former stations.
