XHSRO-FM is a station in Monterrey, Nuevo León. It broadcasts on 92.5 FM and carries the La Mejor regional Mexican format from MVS Radio. History Stereorey In 1965, Joaquín Vargas Gómez, the founder of MVS, was driving in a car in the United States and was surprised by the increased sound quality available on the then-new FM band. The quality available on FM inspired him to start a new FM radio station in Monterrey. On April 15, 1967, XHSRO-FM, the first stereo FM radio station in Mexico, hit the air. While FM radio had already entered the Mexican market on stations such as the short-lived XHFM-FM and XEOY-FM, both in Mexico City, XHSRO and its format would help to encourage the development of FM radio across Mexico. Guadalupe, Nuevo León
Guadalupe is a city and surrounding municipality located in the state of Nuevo León, in northern Mexico. It is part of the Greater Monterrey Metropolitan area. The Universidad Regiomontana (known by its shortened name U-ERRE, and previously by the abbreviation UR) is an institution of higher education in Monterrey, México. XET-AM, nicknamed La T Grande, is a commercial AM radio station on 990 kHz at Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. It is part of Multimedios Radio's Monterrey station cluster. The transmitter is located in San Nicolás de los Garza, near Monterrey. History XET went on the air in March 1930 as Monterrey's second radio station after XEH. It was founded by Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta. and eventually became a border blaster targeting the United States in English with a 50,000 watt signal. Studios were located at Galeana and Hidalgo streets. In the 2000s, it reduced its power to 20,000 watts. Azcárraga later sold the station to Cervecería Cuauhtémoc. The Carter Family worked at the station in its early years, performing their country music and bluegrass music. Mass is an intrinsic property of a body. It was traditionally believed to be related to the quantity of matter in a physical body, until the discovery of the atom and particle physics.
