XHIQ-FM
XHIQ-FM is a radio station on 102.5 FM in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico. The station is owned by Grupo AS Comunicación and known as Oreja FM with a Spanish adult hits format. History XEIQ-AM 960 received its concession on April 9, 1958. It was owned by Jesús Corral Ruiz and eventually was bought by Grupo ACIR. ACIR downsized and sold many of its stations to Radiorama Radiorama were an Italian Italo disco band formed in 1984 by Simona Zanini and Aldo Martinelli. They were later joined by Mauro Farina and Giuliano Crivellente. Their first two singles, "Chance to Desire" and "Desire" were European hits. Disco ..., which in turn sold many of its Sonora outlets to Grupo Larsa. (ACIR remains the concessionaire) In April 2012, XEIQ was cleared to move to FM as XHIQ-FM 102.5. Grupo ACIR
Grupo ACIR is a Mexican media company specializing in the operation of radio stations. It was established in 1965. ACIR is an acronym for ''Asociación de Concesionarios Independientes de Radio'' (Association of Independent Radio Concessionaires). History Grupo ACIR was founded on June 8, 1965, when Francisco Ibarra bought the XEDQ-AM (Radio Alegría) station in San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz. During the next two years, three new radio stations were integrated: XEOM-AM in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, XEMM-AM in Morelia, Michoacán, XEMIA-AM in Guadalajara, Jalisco; and three stations of amplitude modulation in the Mexico City: XEL-AM Radio Capital, XEFR-AM Radio Felicidad and XEVOZ-AM Radio Voz. Ciudad Obregón is a city in southern Sonora. It is the state's second largest city after Hermosillo and serves as the municipal seat of Cajeme, as of 2020, the city has a population of 436,484. Grupo Radiorama is the largest owner and operator of radio stations in Mexico. Founded in 1970, the company operated nearly 400 radio stations in 2014. History Radiorama was founded on December 9, 1970, by Javier Pérez de Anda and Adrián Pereda López. The two founders had previous experience at other radio groups, such as Organización Radio Centro and Radiópolis. Radiorama started with 7 stations, but grew to 150 by 1985.
