XETKR-AM
XETKR-AM is a radio station on 1480 AM in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, licensed in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Guadalupe. It is owned by Multimedios Radio and is known as TKR. History XENJ-AM received its concession on March 21, 1961. It operated from Guadalupe and was owned by Remigio González González. Radio Triunfos, S.A. became the concessionaire in July 1964, with the callsign changing to the current XETKR. Daytime power was raised from 1,000 to 5,000 watts by the 1980s and then to 10,000 in the 1990s. Guadalupe, Nuevo León
Guadalupe is a city and surrounding municipality located in the state of Nuevo León, in northern Mexico. It is part of the Greater Monterrey Metropolitan area. The municipality of Guadalupe, which lies adjacent to the east side of Monterrey, also borders the municipalities of San Nicolás de los Garza, Apodaca, Pesquería, and Juárez. Ranchera
Ranchera () or canción ranchera is a genre of traditional music of Mexico. It dates to before the years of the Mexican Revolution. Rancheras today are played in virtually all regional Mexican music styles. Drawing on rural traditional folk music, the ranchera developed as a symbol of a new national consciousness in reaction to the aristocratic tastes of the period.
