Xidu () is a station on Line 5 of the Shanghai Metro. Located at Xizha Highway and Huhang Highway in the city's Fengxian District, the station is located on the main branch of Line 5 and opened as part of the southern extension of Line 5 on 30 December 2018. Fengxian District
Fengxian District, is a suburban district in the south of Shanghai with a land area of , a registered population (as of 2010) of 1,083,400, and 1.5 to 2 times more migrants. It is known for its relative rusticity, as well as its beaches and ocean resorts along the Hangzhou Bay. Lanhai Jinsha () is a common place for Shanghainese to spend their weekend. Overview Nanqiao is a major town in Fengxian district, which recent development has more than doubled in size. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. Line 5 is a north–south rapid transit line of the Shanghai Metro network, running from station in Minhang District in the north to in Fengxian District was originally planned as the Minhang and Fengxian sections of line 1 extending south to Minhang. The Huangpu (), formerly romanized as Whangpoo, is a river flowing north through Shanghai. The Bund and Lujiazui are located along the Huangpu River. Minhang District
Minhang District is a suburban district of Shanghai with a land area of and population of 2,429,000 residents as of 2010. The original Minhang consist of present-day Jiangchuan Road Subdistrict (Former Minhang Town) and the eastern strip of Wujing along the Huangpu River in 1992, the surrounding Shanghai County merged with Minhang. It is mostly a residential district, though it is also home to some of the many factories and production facilities in Shanghai.
