''XX'' is a two-disc compilation album by American alternative rock group O.A.R. O.A.R. (short for Of A Revolution) is an American rock band, founded in 1996 in Rockville, Maryland. The band consists of lead vocalist/guitarist Marc Roberge, drummer Chris Culos, guitarist Richard On, bassist Benj Gershman, saxophonist/guitar ... (Of A Revolution). It was released August 5, 2016 by Vanguard Records. The album was released to celebrate the band's twenty-year career and features songs from the band's past catalogue, two new songs and a second disc of live songs. Pop Rock

Vanguard Records
Vanguard Recording Society is an American record label set up in 1950 by brothers Maynard and Seymour Solomon in New York City. It was a primarily classical label at its peak in the 1950s and 1960s, but also has a catalogue of recordings by a number of pivotal jazz, folk, and blues musicians. The Bach Guild was a subsidiary label. The label was acquired by Concord Bicycle Music in April 2015. History The newly founded venture's first record was of J.S. Background and composition Singer Marc Roberge explained the song is about blaming other people for holding yourself back, and then realizing at the end that it is your own problem if you are holding back in your life. Strata frontman Eric Victorino posted on his social media that he co-wrote the song, including the line ‘turn the car around’ but received no credit or royalties. The album was released on October 4, 2005 by Everfine Records and Lava Records, and debuted and peaked at #40 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Three songs from ''Stories of a Stranger'' were released as singles, "Love and Memories" in 2005 as well as "Heard the World" and "Lay Down" in 2006. "Love and Memories" was at the time their best charting single, peaking at #98 in the Pop 100, #30 in the Modern Rock Tracks chart and #18 in the Adult Top 40.
