Pedro Passos Coelho
Pedro Manuel Mamede Passos Coelho (; born 24 July 1964) is a Portuguese politician and university guest lecturer who was the 118th prime minister of Portugal, in office from 2011 to 2015. He was the leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) between 2010 and 2018. Passos Coelho started very early in politics and was the national leader of the youth branch of PSD. He led the '' XIX Governo Constitucional'' (19th Constitutional Government of Portugal) and the '' XX Governo Constitucional'' (20th Constitutional Government of Portugal) as head of government from 21 June 2011 to 26 November 2015. The Ministry of Justice ( pt, Ministério da Justiça) is the Portuguese government ministry responsible for the administration of the judiciary system. It is headed by the Minister of Justice. The Ministry of Justice should not be confused with the Public Ministry. Miguel Bento Martins da Costa Macedo e Silva (b. Braga, 6 June 1959) is a Portuguese lawyer, politician, and a former Minister of Internal Administration. He received his degree in law from the University of Coimbra. Political career Miguel Macedo was the leader of JSD, the youth wing of PSD. His first experience in the government was in the first cabinet of Aníbal Cavaco Silva as Junior Secretary of State of Minister Couto dos Santos between 1990 and 1991. Afterwards he became active in local politics and was elected city councilor of Braga, from 1993 to 1997.
